The "here's what I'm paying" approach is a gold mine for dealers. They already know what their profit margin will be, without having to work for it. They might have advertise the lowest price paid, but they are under no obligation to tell you what there real cost was after incentives.

You are in the majority. Over the past 5 years I've purchased 40 cars for family and friends. 10 years ago my grandmother asked me to buy a car for her, and since then, I've tried (for free) to help anyone who either wants me to go with them, or just sign over a limited power of attorney and...
After starting the process of buying a 2015sl a few weeks ago, I'm stunned at the pressure, lies and deceptive measures I've seen. They are the filthiest, lowest form of life. I have never, in 40 years, walked into a car dealership, and met a car salesmen who didn't try to lie in some way. I...
thanks. so a 48amp EVSE isn't going to charge it any faster? Just so I'm clear, level 1 is roughly 8 hours, level 2 is roughly 4 hours and level 3 is about 80% in 30 minutes?
Is there a level 4 charger in the works? Are level 3 Evse's too expensive for average joe's like me?
thanks again...
Forgive the silly question...tried searching and got no answer.
Are all level 2 chargers the same in terms of charge time? It looks like 4 hours is the norm, but is there one that does it in 2 or 3 hours?
Thanks
We bought our 2013 from Autonation (Dustin) and visited Nalley to drive a 2015 today. Without getting involved in the comically in-offensive remark, I will say that ALEXIS GUTHRIE IS WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY HOTTER than Dustin Flieschman. But Dustin does have a very girlish charm to him.
The Nalley...
our 2013 was bought back by Nissan under the lemon law. The heater refused to work...which I believe is an issue that's been fixed.
thanks for that data, DanCar....utterly impressive.
I thunked the reason they had the 80% charge option was because "toping up" harmed the battery (I really have...
I'm a little worked into a frenzy over the pending loss of the 5k Ga tax credit for a Leaf, and thinking about buying another.
We had a 2013. Did Nissan make any major changes to the batteries from 2013 to 2015 that would make them last longer? I thought I read somewhere that they changed the...
This just happened to my sister. Since 2011, she has traded her 1 year old leaf for a newer model to take advantage of the tax credits. She would get a good trade, and an even better deal on a new car, and walk away each year with money in her pocket.
She tried to trade her 2014 three weeks...
thanks for the update, erichz...I'm sure this is an issue Nissan will have worked out in short order. Tomorrow is a big day. My first "surrender" in almost 30 years of driving and buying cars. Happens at 9am via a 3rd party Nissan uses called Morley VSPC. Spent half the day cleaning the...
Xeon, Hopefully this makes you feel better...when I got my car back from the fix, the center vent was consistently blowing 134degrees..prior to the fix, it was blowing below 60 at times. I would love to hear back on how long it took to get fixed. best of luck, and stay warm!!!!
Actually, that is not correct, TomT. The Factory has a choice to say "no", which would have forced me to hire an attorney. According to the Georgia Consumer Affairs Rep, the majority of car companies are painfully ingracious during a lemon law claim.
The Nissan Rep was pleasant...
well, Nissan USA has very graciously agreed to "repurchase" our 2013 Nissan Leaf under the Georgia Lemon Law. It's been a long (and sometimes cold) road, but I have to say, working with Nissan USA has been a surprisingly pleasant experience (so far). The car undergoes final inspection by a 3rd...
It was blowing icy cold at the window, but the dealer is replacing the ptc heater box. thanks for this info, when the heat fails again, I'll suggest they look at the element.
your ptc heater box will only fail at certain ambient temps. It's a random failure (or at least mine was). They found no fault codes until the last visit....before they cleared the codes, the outside temp rose, and the car reset itself, and cleared the codes on it's own. This is the way it...
