I don't see the point in comparing today's 2014 LEAF to a hypothetical 2017 Tesla Model E from a feature OR price point perspective. In addition, no matter how well Tesla executes they can't build every kind of car that every kind of person is going to want. There will always be room for an...
I apologize if this has been answered, but can anyone explain the discrepancy between "kWh remaining" and "Wh used" in Leaf Spy?
For instance, today I recorded some data about my commute and noticed this:
kWh remaining Wh used
19.7 0
13.3 5927
That's 6400-ish Wh...
That's the average for the life of the car. My average for my range test was approximately 4.5 kWh, based on:
A) Me watching my efficiency like a hawk as I drove
B) The bar chart in "History" after I reset it.

I did. But I don't see where the final average miles/kWh is. There's a bar chart when you go to "History" but it's hard to read a precise value from that chart. There was also a value on display that would fluctuate as I drove. Seemed like that number was more realtime. Lastly, there was a value...
I don't know. I drove as conservatively as I could, and most of my mileage was off the highway and in the temperate climate of Seattle. So it seems like 100 miles is the best possible case for a scenario where range means nothing to me (daily commuting). My next range test will cover what I'm...
Well, I couldn't replicate the pristine conditions above, but I did record some data on my experience going from 100% on the dash to Turtle.
Date & Time Mileage QCs L1/L2 SOH AHr GIDs Charge Display SOC

Whew! Just made my way through this entire thread. I am the owner of a Leaf manufactured in June 2013 that has less than 800 miles on it and is exhibiting the low SOH/GID symptoms described in this thread. I am currently in the process of executing a range test from 100% down to Turtle.
My...
Someone grazed the rear quarter panel on my driver side within the first 3-4 weeks of owning my Leaf. I couldn't believe my bad luck. The car was parked, I wasn't there and of course the perpetrator didn't leave a note.
WOW! You paid $26,815 for this car? The invoice (according to KBB) is $29,405.
I'm totally blown away. I would love to hear what kind of deals other people are getting on the purchase/lease of a 2014 Nissan Leaf.
Where did you buy this car?
Well, once you've closed on your lease please share the details (price, money factor, etc) with the rest of us. Sounds like you're getting an amazing deal.
When something sounds too good to be true, it is almost never true. My guess is that you're counting the $2500 twice. I bet you the dealer has already factored that into their notion of "0 down".
In any case, you can't really understand the deal you're being offered without the following pieces...
I wrote a blog post about my experience finding the best deal for a 2013 Nissan Leaf lease here in the Seattle area. Hope this helps some of you out:

For anyone who is interested, I've started to work on a Node.js module for accessing the Carwings API. You can see my code here:
