After turning in our '14 LEAF SL in March at end-of-lease and watching and waiting several months, we got a Bolt Premier last week. The final nudge we needed was my husband's son-in-law pointing out that, as a GM employee, he could get us the employee discount. We priced the car on the GM site...

IIRC the problem was that the fuel tank was pierced in the sedans - but not the station wagons - by some metal part driven into it in a rear-end collision. The shield to prevent this in sedans would have cost several dollars, and Ford elected not to install it...

But also lower gearing.

There's "60 miles" in green up above...

There's one like that near us too, and the LEAF got me past the second light more than, um, once or so. Since turning it back in at lease-end, it's a lot harder to launch my older 5-speed Corolla to do that without making a racket from wheelspin :-)

That was certainly our experience with our '14 LEAF built in 1/14. After 21,000 miles in Asheville we were down to 18.4 kWh and 53.25 AHr. I sure expected better in our relatively-moderate climate...

Maybe the writer was trying for a mashup of "competitive" and "relevant"? :-)

The buyout was $16024. It has 21,000+ miles, the original tires and 11 bars. Last fall, the leasing dealer accidentally sent me an ad intended for owners rather than lessees, telling me the Black Book value was $7475 but they'd offer me up to $8970 as a trade-in. Naturally, I made a buyout offer...

Well, I found our 2014 SL for sale after we turned it in at lease-end. It's being offered at $11,990 at the dealer in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio - VIN ends in 331649.
