    NISSAN LEAF PRICING

Woohoo! Finally the time has come! What does everyone think? Is the pricing where they had hoped it would be?

Hi, my name is javan and I'm glad the Leaf is coming soon.

Welcome Javan. Yes, I'm excited the Nissan Leaf will be here soon! Are you planning on buying one? Does it depend on the price? Where are you located, and do you just have a short commute or a long commute?

    Standardisation or Bust!

I sort of agree TOkyoTony. People that are looking at buying the Nissan Leaf, and people that are on this forum, are generally all of the same mindset. They want an electric vehicle for lots of reasons, and it's definitely partly because of the novelty/experience of it! However, once electric...

Video of someone test driving the Nissan Leaf

Not the best shots in the world, I think the guy was too excited to be riding in a Nissan Leaf so he wasn't paying so much attention to his camera all the time...Nevertheless, it's a good clip to show how smooth and queit driving it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEjiQtO3U54

    More about batteries than competitors...

I wasn't sure where to post this since it is about Lithium Ion batteries, but it's info specifically from the company that is manufacturing the battery packs for the GM Volt... Anyways, Lithium Ion batteries are expected to come down in the future, but how fast or how much they come down is...

Nissan's History with the Lithium Ion Battery

here's some interesting thoughts taken from: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/10/06/nissan-builds-viral-excitement-for-leaf-electric-car/?ref=automobiles Just get them out on the road, and support them. Ten years ago Nissan rolled out the lithium ion battery-based Altra, a terrific car that...

    SO HEAVY

I guess that answers my question about whether or not you could have a second battery pack charging at home or along your route... In Israel there is a subscription service called 'Better Place' where you can pull into the station and swap out batteries for charged up fresh ones. Better Place...

    Nissan Leaf vs Chevy Volt

How many times have you run out of gas in your car? It's funny how aware you are of that.... why would plugging in be any different? I think that's a better comparison than plugging in the Leaf is like plugging in a cell phone.

    leasing batteries

what a mistake... http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content_landing_pages/1035/Revealed-2011-Nissan-Leaf-Electric-Car "But the real trick is that the batteries won't be part of the selling price: Nissan's global approach will be to sell the car, but lease the battery pack. The argument for...

    Breaking ground...finally

I think it's great that Nissan is going ahead with putting their efforts into an all electric car like the Leaf. People have been concerned for years about the dwindling supply of oil (and therefore the skyrocketing prices), but no one has seemed willing to do the leg work to make an...
