I have my new 2015 Leaf and this morning I used my carwings app to start the pre-heating before I left for work. The EVSE was plugged in and ready to go if it was commanded to start the EVSE so it could use the wall power for pre-heating. Well, It started the pre-heating but it did not turn on...
Just picked up my Second Leaf. I sold my first one and picked up a brand new 2015 Steel Grey with Black Leather Interior. I got all the bells and whistles as I did on my first 2011 Leaf. Grand total of 52 miles right now. I did not like the battery pack life but love the Leaf. This time I leased...
Yes, I think the range issue is going to be a killer for the Leaf if they don't address it and fix it. My first dive into electric cars was many years ago when I converted a 64 VW Ghia to all electric. I had read up on hundreds of other builds and read that you could go 60 miles or more per...
I did not see an SOH reading anywhere. Only SOC. A friend said Im down 24%. I need to be at 33% to be in the running for an new pack. Time to drive the **** out of the car. He said I should be down two bars and by 27% should loose another. We shall see. Im going to take the Beast to work...
Well well. I finally found an OBDII device that works. I now have some information from my Leaf.
36,375 miles
87.5% SOC
199 GID's (70.8%)
15.4kWh
43.93Ah
51.0 F
3.8 miles per kWh
54.3 Miles to reserve
Driving at 55 mph at 51F nets me about 48 true miles.
The above information is after a...
I found this information and it is a bit confusing. The OBDII of mine should be like this. If connected to a PC then it uses v 2.1 if to a phone it connects with v 1.5. But both connect via 2.1 on the phone.
I was able to connect each OBDII device and start up in both programs. Both programs show that each device is for a fact loaded with version 2.1 and not 1.5 like I was supposed to get. Maybe the third time is a charm. I have yet to receive a second response from the buyer that sold me a device...
Are there any reports of the Galaxy 5s NOT working with this setup? I can't get either OBDII device to communicate with my Leaf. How do you know the Version of the Device? One of my devices should be V2.1 and the other is supposed to be V1.5. Neither one will talk to the Leaf Spy Lite or Pro.
So I have only been driving my Leaf locally so I know I don't have to worry about range. It was suggested to get the Leaf Spy program so I went and got the Leaf Spy lite and one of those ELM 327 devices to talk to the car and the program. My first one came and it did not work. It was one with...
The worst I got was 3.8 but on average I get 4.1 to 4.2 if I let the average go for a month or two. I let the car do the averaging because Im just not going to write down every little detail every day for every drive I take. I put the cruise control on and cruise at 57mph. I when I use the heat...
I agree that I should be having 10 miles left and even up to 15 even in the cold weather. My efficiency has always been 4.2 miles per KwH. I keep track of my tires inflation and there is no sign of misalignment. My drive is exactly the same road every day. I drive alone and the speed is on...
37,000 miles later and down one bar. I originally got about 75miles at 55 to 60 mph. I have a daily commute on flat freeway of 22 miles each way. Speed limit is 55 and usually drive 58 mph. I charge at home and not at work. I always charge to 100%. I always drive in power mode. Regen or Eco on...
