    2019 LEAF Nismo Preview

You may be correct, but some cones and a course in a giant parking lot would make for a good comparison... I love my 2011 LEAF, 9 bar battery and all, but I miss the performance of a drive on rails car (which I have in my gasser).

Disabling CarWings/2G cellular modem now that it's useless

Thanks for the report...wasn't holding my breath...

Disabling CarWings/2G cellular modem now that it's useless

Not so much worth the bother? But if it gets rid of the nag notice at every startup, might be worth a dealer trip... Anyone get the 2G disabled via the dealer and can report the nag goes or stays?

Question about buying older Leaf with degraded battery

Well, my 9 Bar 2011 LEAF would be perfect, but I plan to keep it to do exactly what you are suggesting...excepting that I have an oil gasser to use for trips, etc. There seems to be lots anecdotal evidence that the Japanese built cars have fewer problems than the original US built ones...

    2011 LEAF stopped charging, 21 DTC's logged

If you have LEAF spy pro, if it faults again you might be able to clear the code yourself...? Swinging events are tough, but you kept the course... Thanks for sharing... And I do hope this is it...may good fortune continue...

    Nissan - Cargo Cover review

I've had the organizer for 5 years...always wondered what those black knobs were for... Bought it second hand, so perhaps it came with a manual... Thanks...

2011 Nissan Leaf with a newly replaced battery

Point 1, I thought that as well. Correlation without causation... Fair enough. Point 2, Not as likely. The amperage would be the same during the bulk of the charge for either batteries... Yes? More duration but same amperage... But yes, might be a factor. Things do wear out but an elegant...

2011 Nissan Leaf with a newly replaced battery

Thanks for updating... I find your tale a bit un-nerving... My 2011 EVSE block was upgraded to do both 120 and 240; I sent it back to EVSE upgrade for evaluation as it was running warm, and it was returned, with new programming...not sure what was done to it... The cable on the pistol side...

    2011 LEAF stopped charging, 21 DTC's logged

That would be an easy action prior to pulling out the onboard, I'd think.... Also, depending on time constraints, it would not surprise me if the charging unit itself was repairable by a skill electronics tech...the failed sub component might be obvious... Lastly, not to slight any LEAF...

Yikes to the 3rd power...I'd have hoped for the 12V... Sorry for your trouble...

    Disable The Cellular Radio

Enjoyed reading this thread... A true story for what it is worth... A LEO neighbor found sunglasses in his backyard, reviewed his CCTV cameras, had a good face shot, and documented bizarre behavior. His key contact in the FBI had a match, name, address, etc., using only the photo in a few...

Nissan Leaf parking brake light blinking

I have saved all of this in the sincere hope I never have to refer to it again for my 2011... thanks

LEAF leads increased sensitivity to hydrocarbon exhaust?

Ok...thanks, it's not just me... Pretty oddly sad that the ICE was largely an accidental use of an explosive lamp oil refining byproduct, aka gasoline, along with denser stuff that has now has become plastics... My guess is all of the oil and coal should have stayed in the ground and we'd...

Possible to reprogram cigarette lighter plug to stay active?

Any specific reason? Don't want to hijack the thread, but on my sports car, the OEM tender float charger sends the trickle charge through the lighter plug that is always on...it's very easy to plug and unplug, etc. And is properly fused... So not arguing with you, but wondering what the...

LEAF leads increased sensitivity to hydrocarbon exhaust?

Hi, I have been wondering about this for a while so checking to see if others have noticed as well.... After years of driving a 2011 LEAF, I seem to be much more sensitive to the smells of car exhaust... It used to be just older cars without catalytic converters, and 2 cycle motorcycles, but...
