    End of Lease Strategies?

In this case yes it would be advantageous but in the event of a total loss you would be out your entire down payment. In the three lease deals I have done (Lexus HS, Nissan LEAF, and now BMW i3) I have never put any money down or even a first payment usually just signed and drove off or only...

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

+1 If anyone can elaborate I would also appreciate it.

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

I'm going to try. Like I said I have my ~$150/month '12 SV lease ($0 down) that I can extend up to another year so I may do that and wait for more aggressive deals on the i3 or B-class (obviously it will be more than the LEAF, not looking to replicate my deal on this car).

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

Seriously, you think $18,500 at this point is reasonable? So less the $7500 the net cost would be $11,000? I'd like to negotiate down to that but they thought my offer of $21k was outrageously low. The odd thing is the salesman has called me back numerous times but keeps saying his manager...

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

Of course I don't believe them, just saying that they insist it has been "maintained" to Nissan's specifications whatever that is supposed to mean.

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

Thanks everyone. I too am concerned about the batteries but the salesman say they have been maintained to Nissans specs...the people at this dealership don't seem particularly LEAF savvy at least compared to my experience at another area dealership. The vehicle in question is an 05/2013...

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

This is at Lou Fusz Nissan in Creve Couer/St. Louis, MO. Their website shows three black SVs however one was sold to a local radio station Y98 to be used for promotional purposes at community events. I went in a couple weeks ago and negotiated down to this amount, they said that was their...

Deal or No Deal? 2013 SV

Been negotiating with a dealer on a 2013 SV (no options besides floor mats and splash guards) and their best and final offer is $22,900. They are saying they can't go any lower and would sooner not sell me the car. After the tax credit that's effectively $15,400 for a brand new car. I'm...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

Ran into problems at West County Nissan in Ballwin, MO (St. Louis County). Was running errands in the area and vehicle was down to 5 miles and a single bar. Arrived at dealership, both Level 2 space and DC Fast Charge/Level 3 were occupied with dealership (gas) vehicles, that obviously were...

    Newest Component Release Levels (firmware,version,software)

Just updated my 2012 SV (10/2012 build). Waited for nearly 90 minutes at the dealership, doesn't really seem anything changed. The letter from Nissan advised this was the same software as the 2013 model I was hoping we would get the % SOC functionality but sadly that isn't the case. Don't see...

Beef with Volt Alarm on Unplug of EVSE....

Ford suggests the polite thing to do is give preference to the all electric vehicle (Ford Focus Electric, Nissan Leaf, etc) over plug-in hybrids and Volts:

    XM Radio Trial Subscription period?

Took delivery early January mine got cutoff 90 days on the dot. Received multiple mailings with varying offers, seems to remember a risk-free three month extension if I signed up now. I'll hold tight and wait until other offers come in. The marginal cost is basically zero, I imagine you can...

    New England Leafs?

That's really too bad, it would be great to get at least one in the area. It seems we are living in the dark ages. We have fairly good penetration of L2 in the city and Arlington, Brookline, Cambridge, Newton and elsewhere but no L3 yet. Maybe one of these days, Nissan wants to triple the...

    New England Leafs?

Are there any plans for a Level 3/Quick Charge in the Boston area? Seems they are available in many other markets that may have lower EV penetration like Chicago, Dallas or Houston.
