Colorado does the same thing - $54.47 for "Electric Vehicle Fee" and $8 for "Battery Electric Road Usage Equalization Fee". And we have state income tax.
I bought my 2015 SV new after my 21-year-old Saturn SL2 was no longer viable to keep. I've been using it as I did the SL2 - commuting around the area. It's not even 29,000 miles yet and I've lost only 1 bar. I've been very pleased with it. I treat cars strictly from a utilitarian perspective...
I've been a computer user since 1979 but didn't get a smartphone (or any kind of cellphone) until 2015. My wife was skeptical until she got one in 2020. She now cannot live without hers, and I absolutely require mine for work.
One can remain unassimilated for only so long.
I sometimes hear the same clicking from the front of my 2015 SV - I should probably take it to the dealer. My wife's beloved '86 Honda Prelude Si had this issue and she had to get them replaced. Ugh.
My 2015‘s screen goes blank with a “Please wait” message on it for a second or so, when I’m backing up after starting. Most dangerous and annoying, as I believe it’s attempting to connect via the 3G network. That network no longer exists here in the US and I removed the module with the antenna...
I have a 2015 with 28k miles that’s lost 1 bar, and the GOM now maxes out at around 85 miles. However, LeafSpy computes that the range at 100% charge (granted, with this cold weather) is about 65-70 miles, depending on efficiency.
I highly recommend getting Leaf Spy and a compatible OBDII...
I still have my '15 SV (only 27.6k miles, 11 bars, 85% SOH) and have no intention of giving it up any time soon. Our youngest went for his first drive ever in it yesterday, and will likely end up with it for to/from whatever.
