Adding my data to the thread:
2019 SL PLUS
(I actually have mostly monthly data but here are the highlights)
2019/05/19 : 99.5% at 100 miles ??? (when new in S. California - bought used so I don't know exactly)
2021/02/19 : 93.16% at 35050 miles (when I bought it used and imported to...
Thanks for the suggestion as that would have been an easy fix but unfortunately that's not the solution (there's a "notch" when the mirror is extended and it can't really be just slightly off; it's either in place or it's folded over quite a bit).
Anyone know how to "re-align" the surround view image?
(I didn't even think of doing it while the car was still on warranty and exceeded the 36k miles warranty a little while ago).
The picture is mostly good but the driver's side is quite crooked (front of side is too far out compared to the...
I've asked and I was told this was not possible (which I'm a bit skeptical about). Nissan Customer Service told me that there is no way to get NissanConnect on a US Leaf in Canada (although the first one Customer Service told me it wasn't possible because I only had a 2G TCU which is not...
I use that as well but it's not nearly the same (e.g. if it's -20C and I want to go somewhere in the evening, having the timer set for 7:00AM doesn't help me).
We also have use the charge timer (we have time-of-use rates so typically only charge off-peak but if I know I need to use the car...
If anyone ever finds a solution to getting NissanConnect to work on US 2016s (and up I assume) in Canada, let us know.
Recently purchased and imported a 2016 SL from the US and as soon as I crossed the border, I lost NissanConnect (was working when the car was in the US).
Funny you should say that because that's how I feel right now !!!
It's not a huge deal but I like having access to the app (particularly in the winter when I use the remove climate control pretty much every day!)
Has anyone found a solution for US 2016 Leaf NissanConnect in Canada? I'm upgrading from a US 2015 Leaf which had a working NissanConnect so I was quite disappointed to find out that it doesn't work with the 2016s.
Let us know. Thanks,
Mike
Hope no one minds me bringing this topic back to the front. I just wanted to thank those that helped with info.
I added a string LED tonight. I like the style but I'll have to see if it's bright enough during the day.

To compare, this is with the...
The app was updated on my phone this morning and it does appear to work with 1st gens (I was able to pull up driving history, get status and start the climate control (although I didn't actually go to the car and check if that was actually turned on)).
I'm not sure if there are others like me but I drive a US Import 2015 Leaf in Canada and I have a US NissanConnect EV account. This morning, the app on my Android phone was updated and unfortunately it updated it to the Canadian version of NissanConnect EV (which connects to Canadian servers)...
I believe the 3G upgrade was only available in very late 2016 by which time they were probably only building 2017s so unless your 2016 was upgraded to 3G you likely only have the 2G unit. Having said that, I'm not sure why it would work close to the border so your 2016 might have been updated...
