I have Thule roof racks that I find easy to install and remove. Yakima also has similar racks.

    The Battery Replacement Thread

The thing that helped me was the dealer that erased the Capacity Loss data actually ran a Battery Report first. I made sure to get a copy of that report. It showed only 8 capacity bars remaining, and that is what's needed to show that the battery is eligible for replacement. The thing was that...

Nissan towed my car beyond the range and wants me to get it.

Go pick up the LEAF from Lewis Nissan in Beckley. Drive it until you have completely run out of charge. Then call the Nissan hotline and request roadside assistance. "Nissan provides 3 years of complimentary roadside assistance" http://livingleaf.info/2011/04/nissan-leaf-roadside-assistance/"...

    The Battery Replacement Thread

I actually had my Capacity Loss Data reset (BMS reset) in my LEAF. I lost four capacity bars and took my car in to Autonation Nissan of Delray Beach. They ran the battery report that showed only 8 capacity bars remaining. Then the ran the Consult CLEAR BATTERY GRADUAL CAPACITY LOSS DATA command...

ICED - Images of Offending Vehicles Board of Shame

With that logic I guess it's ok to park at a gas pump if an ICE vehicle is not there.

What hassle? They get paid by Nissan to replace the battery. I would think the dealership would want that. As it stands right now, I can no longer use the car for my 63.5 mile commute. My wife drives the LEAF now since she has a short commute and I've had to start going back to the gas station...

My experience with my 4 bar loss is not going well for me. The dealer that I first took my car to ran the battery report that showed I only have 8 capacity bars remaining and the ran the CONSULT command "BATTERY GRADUAL CAP LOSS DATA CLEAR". Now my dashboard shows 12 capacity bars. Then they...

Has anyone in South Florida had a warranty battery replacement done yet? If so, where? I just lost my 4th bar today and would like to know what others have experienced in SFL. I haven't found any posts of anyone down here losing the 4th bar.

    The Battery Replacement Thread

Well winter is not much of an issue for me. :D On the way to work I go early in the morning and usually drive 55-60 and on the way home I can usually go 65 and still make it. I get about 4.4 m/kWh on average. On a good day I'll see 4.8 m/kWh. I have about 31,500 miles on the car. On...

    The Battery Replacement Thread

Here's a current pic from my LeafDD. How soon can I expect to lose that 4th bar? I have a 63.5 mile round trip commute and 61.5 of it is highway. I'm amazed that I can still make it.

    Dashboard display problem MY2012 [SOLVED]

It was the instrument brightness control switch. Page 2-14 of the MY2012 owners manual. With the headlights OFF the instrument brightness control switch will go from the dimmest to brightest setting in a loop for the instrument lights. The instrument lights NEVER go off. With the headlights ON...
