Every time we let off the juice pedal while driving, we are 'charging' with high voltage DC. Is that a charge cycle? We also aren't waiting 15 min to charge. Could we be too worried about when and how often we charge if we are doing it 300 times on the way to the grocery?

I just changed mine at 44,000 miles. Both the drain plug and fill plug had about 2mm of material on them. The fluid was black. I'd recommend changing it about every 50,000 miles. It's new to me, but it lived in southern California from 2013-2017.

FYI, If you hate the fact that the headrests push your head forward, Saturn Vue headrests will fit. They are more vertical. They are not as safe, and aren't held in position as well as the Nissan ones, so risk/benefit. I tried about 50 other makes before finding this one.
