Who out here only uses there level 1 charger

2+ years on Lvl 1 at home. My commute is ~35 Miles round trip... There are a couple of Lvl 2's at my work (Blink), but I only use them if I forgot to charge the night before. This has only happened 5-6 times in the 2+ Years... -m

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

All the dealers I talked to said it was VPP _or_ the rebates/incentives. In that case, VPP was much more expensive. Again I did not haggle, so I don't know how much more room there is for discounts.

I was in the same situation. I had extended my 2013 lease and was considering purchasing it with a reduced residual. With the current deals, it was only ~$1500 for new 2015! I had my pre-turn in inspection this week and will return my 2013 soon. (No extra wear and tear reported. My...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I contacted 4 dealers (internet dept.) to ask about VPP pricing, and all told me the rebate was a better deal. All my quotes were relative to MSRP and I did no negotiation. One of the dealers was trying to force me into a lease for some reason, but other than that it was all very...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I took advantage of this deal to replace my '13 leased Leaf with a '15 that I purchased: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1114&start=710#p432440 I also know of at least 1 colleague who got a similar deal. - m

    Quotes based on NMAC Financing?

Well I went in yesterday and did the deal. $0 down 0% APY. It all looked pretty straightforward. They had everything ready for me to sign, so I spent only 21 minutes in dealership before driving away in my new Leaf. I'll post the details in another thread. -M

    Quotes based on NMAC Financing?

I am collecting quotes on MY'15 S from local dealerships. For a stripped model without the charge package (I don't have it on my MY'13 that I currently lease) the numbers are around $21.5k. This seems like a great price to me, putting the car at ~14k after the tax credit. Considering that it...

    End of Lease Strategies?

Do you know if you have to go through the dealer you leased the car from or can you go to another dealership? There are several in my area. The lease itself is through NMAC so it seems like you should be able to do it without a dealership at all.

    End of Lease Strategies?

Anybody else confirm $6500? I got a postcard for $5000 OR 1 year lease extension with 2 payment credits. I went with the latter, but at -$6500 I would buyout... -m

    End of Lease Strategies?

Pugz; I am considering buying my MY13 S at the end of my 3'rd year. My current residual at 2 years is ~$17,500, but I extended for 1 year with the 2 months free. I am a little confused about what the remaining residual will be at the end of year 3, but if it is around $16,500 and I can get...

    End of Lease Strategies?

Got my paperwork today also. It promises a credit equivalent to 2 months. The way it is worded it does not look like "month-to-month", but a commitment for another full year. This is not what they described to me on the phone, but in my case it is fine since I hoped to keep the car a full...

    End of Lease Strategies?

I just called NMAC and asked for an extension. They said they would give me 2 months free, and then go "month-to-month" after that with no commitment. I don't know if you can get 2 years, or just keep paying. I didn't have to ask for the 2 months they just gave it to me. I have not gotten...

    Official Ford Focus Electric Thread

I just checked our x-plan pricing here (Vancouver Wa). Base models are ~25000 before the $7.5k rebate (Net $17500). Pretty well equipped compared to the S model Leaf I currently drive. This is with no haggle, and no state sales tax for EV's (normally $2-3k on ICE's). That is less than the...

VPP and $3500 Cash back 0% APR ?

It looks like there is a $3500 cash back deal if you finance (purchase?) through NMAC right now. Has anyone been able to get VPP pricing with this deal? It seems like a great deal if you are will to buy rather than lease... -M
