Well the sentra springs are still sitting there in the box. I decided to buy airbag suspension. When installing the air bags I will quickly check how the sentra springs fit and report back.
I received the Nissan Sentra lowering springs but have racked up the Leaf to inspect / install yet. At first glance it is clear that two of the four Sentra springs will probably fit and two will not. The leaf has a relatively large diameter spring coil front and back - about 6 inches diameter...
Just a guess here but imagine this scenario. They change the coolant, and leave an air bubble in the system. The electric pump occasionally cavitates on the bubble and blows the fuse.
Did they do a coolant service. If so have them redo the coolant service with a vacuum type coolant tool.
Aerovironment has long been a company that survives on government grants. They don't need to have a traditional customer service department or to make the public happy. I doubt anyone there gives a crap if the charge station payment system is user friendly or not.
I don't regret buying a 3 year old leaf with battery capacity loss for a song. It is a great city car and really has a great drive feel. I also look forward to selling it really cheap in two or three years and getting a different ev that is two or three years old. The leaf is a great car because...
With a few forum members willing to do some trial and error based research we will most likely find some suspension parts from other vehicles that can be used to upgrade the Leaf. Looking forward to hearing if you make the plunge and buy a Leaf. Having owned a hybrid before my leaf I can say...

In order to prevent a new crimpted connection from rotting you could apply die electric grease to the wire crimp union. This would fill the gap between wire and pin and keep air and moisture away.
Soldering seems like a perfect solution to a bad crimp. I don't imagine the wire flexing directly...
Ok I am ready to take the next step and lower the Leaf!
These are what I wish to buy but too expensive:

In attempt to be cheap and cut corners I will probably...
The wheels certainly effect the range. I don't have a real base line for the before range since I only had the car for two days before changing the wheels.
Everyone forgets about getting dinged for damages when you return the car at the end of lease. Get ready to pay a few hundred for every little scratch and ding. You can end up paying more than expected. If you own dogs, have kids, smoke or park on the street in busy urban areas the lease may be...
It looks like the Corbin Sparrow which was an EV. That product was unsuccessful after huge publicity and lots of money spent. I hope Elio has more success. It looks interesting, also reminds me of the new Morgan 3 wheeler.
So no one has tried a cheap set of b16 sentra lowering springs yet? The poster that compared sentra struts to leaf and found differences was using the b15 , an older sentra not the newest b16 sentra
The op did pretty thorough research showing that the same year leaf and sentra share front shock...
20% loss in efficiency is hard to swallow yet having cool looking wheels is one of the core nessecities of modern society. If you want nice big rims and efficiency too what about tires and wheels like the new BMW i3. They are very tall and narrow, maybe 20" and less than 200mm wide.
