Took Friends to Pickup Their Leaf--Rejected It

It's typical for a dealership to run a credit report even when paying in full by check. They want to ensure that the check isn't going to bounce. If your friends had a poor credit rating, it's likely the dealership would have insisted on a cashiers check or electronic transfer before letting...

    A Second Leaf?

We took delivery of our silver Leaf at the end of March. Have almost 5K miles on it now. Ordered a second one (red) in April and hope to take delivery in September. Both cars were originally reserved in April of 2010. The Leafs are replacing a pair of Prius' which were sold in March and May...

Anyone get their CA HOV stickers?

Yes, MP should be E for electric. Mine says G for gas.

    Getting rid of AV unit

I have a very slightly used AV unit for sale. It was on the wall for a week and used twice before being replaced by a Blink. I actually like this unit better than the Blink. It takes up a lot less room on the wall and the plug goes into the car a lot easier. But the Blink was free. The unit is...

Anyone get their CA HOV stickers?

Do your best to make sure the dealer's DMV person lists the Leaf as being powered by Electricity rather than Gas. Even though I told my sales guy to follow-up on this when I picked up the car my pinkslip still arrived with the wrong fuel type. They also called it a sedan rather than a...

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

The story comes to an end. I picked up the car this evening. Had to drop out of the EV program to get it. The L3 port wasn't important to me. But a free L2 charger would have been nice. I'd already done a self install of the AV charger in my garage so I now won't be able to sell that unit...

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

Update: I received a call from the EV hotline (first call back ever) a few minutes ago telling me that another car with the L3 charger is on the way to my dealer. Meg (the CS rep) could not tell me when other than within a week of March 17th (my original date). Said my dealer would have more...

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

BlueSL - you missed the point. I told Nissan last week to keep their free stuff (QC port and charger) and just give me the car as is. They refuse. I spoke with Nissan consumer affairs. They took my info and said a regional rep would contact me within 24 hours.

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

The dealer is Premier Nissan. My car is currently sitting in their showroom.

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

Yes, the thought has crossed my mind that the dealer is playing games here. Either to keep the car on the showroom floor to have one for customers to look at or in an effort to eventually sell the car to someone else. I will escalate to Nissan consumer affairs today and report back.

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

They really don't know what they're doing. The dealer's contact at Nissan is waiting for someone else to tell him what to do. This someone else is a ghost. I've already told the dealer to forget about the EV program. I'll just take the car as is. He says he can't do that without talking to...

Nissan clueless - Bay Area EV Project causes big problems

The issue is I can't get anyone to make a commitment as to when someone with any authority will talk to me about this issue. All I get is "someone will call you back". It's been 5+ weeks and no calls or emails other than mine to them which go nowhere. I'm sure if this issue reaches the right...
