    e-Pedal and Battery Life

thanks. This make sense. Just wanted to understand if batteries have this understanding of cycles.

    e-Pedal and Battery Life

Another question as it relates to battery life that has been the "useful battery life cycles". For example, Apple publishes that iPhone should be at 80% capacity after 500 charges. Is that derived from the actuals charges that the battery takes or the health of this battery during this...

    e-Pedal and Battery Life

Thank you all! What about charging? Do I need to worry about charging it until 80% or should I just let it go to 100%, assuming Leaf is set to stop below the "full charge" level? On the flip level, when should I start charging? should I, in general, try not to go below 20%?

    e-Pedal and Battery Life

I don't know much about batteries but I know that it's not very good to plug and unplug your electronics with batteries without giving them a 20 -> 80% charge and somethings to 100% to help 'rest the cells' - this is what I read so far. But the e-pedal is constantly providing a small amount of...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

    - All neutrals are terminated as a single wire in one hole. -->> No, there are 2 holes with 2 neutral wires terminated together in one hole - The panel label specifies that EGCs may be terminated as (2) #12 or (2) #14 in one hole. -->> I could not find the label with specifications on...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Thank you, Wayne. I appreciate your response and for correcting me on this! I think the best path is to install another bus so I can add the neutral and ground onto two separate terminals/ holes. I have one spot left that I can run a jumper wire from to this new bus. Is there a particular...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

but larger wires have (like the 6/3 UF) need to be in a separate hole while grounds can be bunched together form other breakers if they fit in the hole, even if from 6/3 UF cable. This is from my understanding. in the main panel only.

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Thank you, Wayne. It is a service panel and it is a few years old. I don't have another disconnect above the panel (cables go right outside). for the EVSE I am thinking of either something simple (w/o wifi) like this...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Thank you everyone! Will use two separate hole. 1 separate empty one for neutral and as for the ground - can I double it up with the other grounds on the main bus? There is another bus in the back with a bit more empty holes. I assume they are connected (I just cannot see it due to the...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone who is celebrating. I installed the 6/3 uf/b cable but before connecting to the circuit panel I wanted to ask about bonding ground and neutral wires. I have two buses and the circuit panel but they are mostly filled with wires from other cables coming in to the...

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Thank you. My run is 50 ft. no sure what you would refer to as too, over what distance? Also, what size conduit did you use, if you used 4 wires?

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Make sense. thanks. What is your opinion on 2-2-2-4 Gray Stranded AL SER Cable? it's bout half the cost of the copper cable but of course it's overall thicker given it's AL.

Installing Level 2 at Home (SOOW vs. NM-B) Which one?

Thank you. To summarize, I am thinking of actually putting a 50 amp breaker and doing the 50 amp wiring so either #8 cable with rubber conduit or using the UF cable without conduit to the 14-50 outdoor receptacle. which would you recommend? which is the easier to work with? I like not having...
