I've babied it (rarely charging to 100%, parking it under cover, and not putting all that many miles on it), so it hasn't quite degraded to qualifying for a new battery.

I have a 2011 SL, and I'm getting a real world range closer to 50 (on a nice day) than the 75 I was getting when it was new. If I could get a 30 kWh pack upgrade for it, I'd do it in a heartbeat and would probably drive it 'till a self-driving EV was affordable. I need a completely reliable 55...
I'd be tempted to double-park the Smart cars (2 fit in a parking space, right?). Probably not entirely legal, but it does free up a parking space while not having to hunt for a place to put the car you just moved.
2011 Leaf, 27005 miles.
Drove 55.8 miles on a charge, had 10 miles (2 bars) remaining. Trip average 4.7 miles/kWh.
Outside air temp 72-75 degrees. Did not need heat or A/C. Approximately 42 of these miles were on freeway at 62 MPH, the rest were on surface streets. I started with a 100%...
I have a 2011 Leaf with only 27K miles on it. Today it is 72-75 degrees and clear here in Southern California, I drove it 55.8 miles (42 or so miles on the freeway at a steady 62 MPH) on a 100% charge. The range guestimator says 9 miles to empty, and I have the last two bars left. I'm missing...
I actually bought mine back in 2011. The current folding of the whole credit into the lease + really good lease rate deal happened after I picked it up.
I've only lost one bar and intend to drive it 'till the first of:
1) My daughter needs a car
2) The $40K Tesla with 200 mile range is...

If the Leaf does 80%, consider a new RAV4-EV. :-) (With an 80% charge it will go 100 miles, haven't tested it with an extended mode charge.)
Less efficient and bigger than a Leaf - but it has a bucket load more batteries.

If you look at the Daily Diary he details all of his charging stops.
Those were the days Greg!
Much as I want to see L3 charge stations in a lot of locations, we are currently in the same situation with L3 charge stations that we were in in the late '90's / early '00's with L2. There are *AT LEAST* 3 standards for Quick Charge right now! (Back then at L2 it was Inductive [small and...
