Why would anyone buy a nissan leaf right now???

AFAIK dual-standard chargers need a bit more electronics (and an extra cable) and CCS only versions of chargers are cheaper (at least here in central Europe). And compared to newer EVs, most Leafs are less likely (due to both lower range and slower DC charging) to travel long distances - so I...

Why would anyone buy a nissan leaf right now???

Since Nissan Ariya will be using CCS for DC charging outside of the Japanese market, to me it looks like a confirmation that Chademo is likely to die in a few years - not many new Chademo stations are likely to be built in the future outside of Japan and current ones will gradually be retired...

    Tesla Supercharger Network

It would be interesting to know how long did people in that line wait for SC spot - since its 40 stall station and just under 40 car (37 if I counted them correctly) the wait might have been "only" around 30 minutes.

FYI: in the EU prices are listed with (~20%) VAT.

    Hyundai Kona Electric

The US availability of EVs from Hyundai, VW, etc. might soon get even worse because carmakers are likely to further prioritize deliveries to the EU, due to new regulations (they need to lower fleet CO2/km average or pay huge fines) that take effect in January.

Hyundai Ioniq BEV, hybrid, and PHEV.

DC charge rate from that video (connected to 350kW charger): 10-50% 40-45kW 51-67% 36kW 68-73% 23kW 74-90% 15kW This IMO relegates new IONIQ into commuter car role because such low DC charge rate makes it really impractical for longer trips

Why are so many people angry towards the LEAF

Leaf is not some $15K MSRP city car - active battery cooling wouldn't significantly increase the cost (hell, Nissan might even save money on warranty replacement of batteries in warm regions) and it would reduce battery degradation and fast charging issues. DC charging isn't so rare that it...

They might as well claim that it cures cancer - the company owners just want to scam some more $ before the company folds.

    RapidGate Fix?

Point 2 is blatantly false - fix provided by the OEM cant void your warranty. Also, reported for that 1st sentence.

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

I don't know if Model 3 will get an adapter for Chademo, but CCS adapter is expected relatively soon (this summer). Since many public stations have both Chademo and CCS cables, it should help a lot.
