    End of Lease Strategies?

36 month lease. I purchased it in June, the lease would have ended in October. Nope, I meant registration as the dealership took care of the paperwork on that. The title went to the bank since I financed the balance. I got a 2.6% rate for 36 months, with a payment less then the monthly lease...

    End of Lease Strategies?

I received $6700 off my 2015 / 3yr. The day before my birthday I received a Fedex envelope which contained the registration. Nothing else. Still haven't heard back from Brian or the dealership. Didn't even bother to let me know they sent a Fedex pkg. I still have no paperwork from the...

    End of Lease Strategies?

I am reluctant to post anything about my experience, but I just don't see as if I have much choice. I wish I could say this was all wrapped up in a week. I started discussions on purchasing my lease on 4/17/17. Between 4/17 and 4/26 we had excellent communication, the deal was struck. I...

    Turtle mode

Couldn't resist. Turtle came walking along the side of the hangar yesterday while the car is plugged in. Couldn't get the camera fast enough, but it walked right up to the evse cord and looked up at the Leaf charge port. All I could think of is "turtle meets turtle!"

Anyone else getting 100+ miles out of a charge?

Depends on the winds of course. On a no wind day, I'll arrive with around 53%. Windy day, around 46-48%. Really windy days (20+) I'll usually just take US1, also for a different view once in awhile.

Anyone else getting 100+ miles out of a charge?

I have a 2015S with 13,500 miles on it, my daily drive is 44 miles. Off that drive 34 miles is highway @ 65 mph, with the rest up to 50 mph. I generally arrive at work with 50% available and then charge. Last week on one particular day I plugged in, but my employee started asking questions...

Whats this dealer smoking or am I off my mark

I spoke with several of the dealers in CA (I'm in FL) since they had much better pricing, I was willing to have one shipped to FL. All of the dealers said it was no problem doing so with a purchase, but they are not allowed to write leases out of their home state.

Solar Impulse - Flying Around the World Powered Only by PV

Yup, its a nice machine too. He's flown in for visits with another tenant on the field. Pretty quick takeoff and climb for a 20 hp aircraft.

Solar Impulse - Flying Around the World Powered Only by PV

I'm in the ultralight / experimental aircraft business as a full time living. We have several companies making electric powered ultralights, light single seat aircraft and powered paragliders. Unfortunately mid year of last year, FAA banned any experimental aircraft powered by electric...

JESLA vs. Turbocord vs. Clipper Creek vs. other portable

Understand your concern, you make your choice and pick your poison as they say. Since I charge at home and at work, it wasn't feasible for me to pay for two charge stations. I don't charge enroute anywhere else, but I did buy the 120 adapter cord for it 'just in case'. That said, if you read...

JESLA vs. Turbocord vs. Clipper Creek vs. other portable

I went with the EVSE Upgrade route. They were very fast and economical, and I couldn't be happier with it. I charge twice a day, and have put 7500 miles on my 2015 since Nov 6th of last year.

You Might Be a Leaf Driver If...

#16! In 2 1/2 months so far I've had 3 people ask me why they don't install regen motors on the aft wheels to charge the battery as I drive. When I explain you will expend more energy then you will get back, I get the dumb look.

Combined Quick Charge Port and J1772 Port

Could just be plain ignorance too. I'm not in the car biz, but if a customer asks me a question that I don't know the answer too, I will tell them that straight up. And then find out the answer and get back to them.

Driving in B mode all the time?

That's what I figured too so it never bothered me. Just figured the switch was a different 'branch off' in the computer program :)

Driving in B mode all the time?

I also have a 2015 and feel the same thing. If I forget to switch back to D from B mode (holding a steady speed) and then switch to D mode, the car has a slight lurch forward like something was holding it back.
