How do u like the base radio?

To me, it sounds fair. I usually upgrade my stereo when possible. For an audiophile, it would sound very bad. For a majority of people, it's good enough. I guess audio quality is too subjective to get a good answer. Just my thoughts.

I know. You have to be a lawyer just to figure out what the manual is talking about'

battery heater and days subzero parking

Nissan's owners manual says not to leave the battery at low or zero charge for more than 14 days. That's on page EV-24 of the 2014 owners manual. Leaf Pro has shown 377 watts being used parked in the driveway the last few days. The temps have gone to the low single digits (F) and the battery...

battery AHr SOH and Hx improved since 3/29/17

AHr SOH and Hx did not change before or after the QC. They have improved every month since we have owned the car. We usually only charge to 100% at L1

battery AHr SOH and Hx improved since 3/29/17

Edited my post, thanks. Our first quick charge was 11/19/17. Only QC'ed to show my kid how to use a quick charge. All of the numbers (AHR, SOH, HX) were same as 11/16/17. Our second QC was 12/09/17. Made my kid show me how much was learned from the first time. Numbers stayed the same before...

battery AHr SOH and Hx improved since 3/29/17

I bought a used 2014 leaf with approximately 9500 miles back in March for my kid. It had 11 bars. As we drove the car, it seems the battery improved slowly over time. xxxxxxxxx ARr SOH Hx 3/20/17 55.956 85% 83.22 5/2/17 56.885 86% 85.39 11/16/17 58.343...

New device boosts road time for Leaf by 50%

I believe the article says that battery pack lifetime will be extended by 50% due to a more efficient way of managing the battery balance and/or discharge. So instead of a 5 to 8 year battery, you have a 7.5 to 12 year battery. You will get 10% more range from the bottom end of the battery...

New device boosts road time for Leaf by 50%

Only thing I can think of is that perhaps all that shunting of electricity between the cells causes excessive degradation of the battery. If you avoid the shunting, you avoid increased battery degradation. But that's just a SWAG. Any battery engineers out there...

I think I found my car, advice please!

Nissan's owners manual says not to leave the battery at low or zero charge for more than 14 days. That's on page EV-24 of the 2014 owners manual. Though not probable, it could be possible that a car could have been driven to turtle and then left uncharged for 6 months or so. I don't know what...

    First Snow!

Thanks for the info. Any info is better than none. Just curious, do you charge every day or every few days? There is much debate as to keeping the pack at 80% max or 100%. It might be a good idea to keep it plugged in all the time when the car battery temp is in the single digits as the...

I think I found my car, advice please!

You need to get leaf spy and check the SOH and HX. Also see how many millivolts difference in the battery pack. You also want to see how many quick charges have occured. Check to see that the heat pump works. Ask dealer if you can run leaf spy on the car before you buy it. If they say no...
