Thanks Berlino for the Leaf Spy link, excited about getting that gadget , want to really see what i have left in the tank / accurately view my remaining range.
Went down to 0 miles left on the guess O meter yesterday but was reassured by the %of battery gauge that said 8% remaining. Made it...
Very interesting, keep those posts coming. I guess I am even more glad I leased after hearing about battery loss after 30-40k. I turn mine back in at 20k. Hopefully they will have better range by then.
Meanwhile it is just enough, generally driving home with the 15miles left blinking warning...
The subject was recently brought up about "real world range" and that got me interested. The last two charges I have noted driving conditions and mileage per charge.
In the first case I did a mix of driving. Highway and local roads. Day and night. Temps ranged from 40 to 70. Heat on and no heat...

As a cyclist I love how aero my Leaf is. When faced with a long downhill section, good visibility and low to no traffic I shift into Neutral. Coasting along is way fun, the car immediately gains speed and holds it across the flats.
Also like any competitive cyclist I put drafting to good use...
Thinking of starting a Leaf club here in St Louis. Anyone have any experience / thoughts on the subject ?
Would likely start with a St Louis Leaf website, the goal being to inform and connect current or prospective Leaf owners. Links to good sites, articles, apps, etc. Meet ups at local coffee...
