    Off Grid Charging

Holy moley!! Thank you soo much! I hadn't even started to search yet. thanks again sir!

yes, that would be a big help.. ill dig around. If you happen upon it, plz post link..

    Off Grid Charging

I've seen those inverters that are single phase 240V as opposed to the more common 120/240 split phase models. After more digging around about my original question, seems it all depends on the Leafs onboard charger, and exactly what kind of circuitry and behavior is involved once it handshakes...

    Off Grid Charging

I'm considering adding a 240V split phase inverter to my system to L2 charge my 2015 Leaf. There are some quality units out there, AIms Sigineer..however, is there any long term harm in using a Modified Sine Wave instead of a PSW? The price difference is remarkable, and it will ONLY be used to...

    12V battery question

Yes.. My 200Ah is definitely overkill. I have several LifePo4 packs I've built over the years however, so I have spare cells lying around, mostly 100Ah and above though, and yes, you likely have a 4S pack. Typically, or at least I do charge to around 14.4V (BMS should cut charging switch at...

    Poor regeneration while braking.

If I may, following this thread, it was mentioned that swapping out with a new 12v battery might re-set some things. Along those lines, (I'm a new leaf owner btw, a new EV owner all together for that matter) If/when I need to replace my 12V battery, what steps, in what order should I perform...

    12V battery question

About your 12V lifepo4.. what size Ah are you running? Built in BMS on the battery? And how about the charging profile. How does the leaf manage that, as its quite different from FLA or AMG batteries. I have 2 spare AmpereTime 12V 200Ah batteries about 6 months old, but they are big!! Not sure...

Not sure if this is normal?

hmm.. 3.7V 12,000Ah cells arranged 96Sx2P? Thats quite the layout.

Not sure if this is normal?

Wow! is that nominal 360V? I wonder how the cells are arranged, parallel / series. Interesting.

Not sure if this is normal?

Do you mean to say if L1 is 120V at 10A (1200W) is the same as L2 240V @ 5A (1200W)? Makes sense. By the way, the Leafs onboard charger takes the 120V (L1) or 240V (L2) @ X amps AC, and converts it to DC: What's the nominal voltage of the battery pack? I don't think I know what that is?

Not sure if this is normal?

I was afraid of that answer..lol.. Now I've got to get a split phase 120/240 inverter! All my L1 charging is being done from my off grid solar setup, and unfortunately both my inverters are 110/120 only. I have a 240V "dryer" receptacle in my garage, and I'll use that every once in awhile for my...

Not sure if this is normal?

Interesting. I guess I'll have to get LeafSpy. I'm in Vegas, so, like Phx, the heat is a concern of mine. Every 3 months doing a full discharge/recharge to track capacity isn't a bad idea. Or every 6 months.. I don't have a meter to track a L2 charging, just the standard kill-a-watt 120V unit...

Not sure if this is normal?

Thank you to everyone! And yes, I knew it was 24kWh battery, not sure why I typed 28. At any rate, it sounds like nothing out of the ordinary then. I'll continue measure what I'm putting in. On that note, I got all kinds of notifications as my battery was going down, as I was driving home...

Not sure if this is normal?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. I'm a recent 2015 Leaf SV owner. 50,000 miles/ 9bars. Yesterday, I arrived home with 7% left on my battery. I put it on L1 charging overnight, along with a Kill-A-Watt unit to observe my findings. This morning the car reported 100% full, but the kill-a-watt...

    AC Charging Current Limit?

I'm so glad to read this! I'm a new leaf owner, and for the life of me couldn't confirm in my searches, that my 2015 leaf will draw only 27A. +/-No matter if I have a EVSE that is set to 30 or 40A! I was worried I might damage the onboard charger.. Thanks!
