Intermittant Triple beep at ChargePoint L2

Me too. Only have the problem intermittently. Seems once a given pedestal has the problem, it can be stuck that way for days of weeks until what I assume is a reset by ChargePoint. But I'm not positive if other vehicles are able to get it work during that time.

Intermittant Triple beep at ChargePoint L2

No, I can often go to the next pedestal, use the same swipe card and account, and charge just fine. I had a Ford C-max energie owner tell me that they've had no problems, and apparently they use the cell-phone app to activate, rather than a swipe card. I have not been there at the same time as...

Intermittant Triple beep at ChargePoint L2

I've disabled the charge timer. My swipe card activates the handle release. I plug in, longer delay than normal, then triple beep, and all three blues flashing. Manual says this is a fault with the cord. The ChargePoint display says it is waiting for the car. The message boards say the handle...

    Oil facts - compilation

Sorry it took me so long to find this thread. I have put numbers to this more recently. I've linked the various sources of info. and thought it would make a nice edition to this resource thread. I am the biggest EV fan. But I feel it is important we be accurate in our comparisons and statements...

    Range Chart

Well, for my 2015 S I get a lot more than 5 miles from LBW. You seem to only be counting the miles from 100% down to LBW, but you are comparing to miles to total depletion. Have you had a chance to experiment much below LBW? I know estimated range is a guess, but mine typically shows 17 miles...

    Range Chart

Perhaps you could explain what your expectations were that were disturbingly unmet. Are you clear on the tiny capacity bars as compared to the long bars that indicate the % charge in the battery? In other words, when you 100% charge a degraded battery you will see all 12 long bars, regardless of...

    Taste of winter range

Hmm, I had missed that one. Good to know. I have a 2015 S and have not been able to get the fresh air NOT to come in. I finally put cardboard on the front grill. I still get undesirable air movement (i.e. COLD! On the feet!) because I've not blocked the vents under the wipers. I had read that...

    Taste of winter range

Yes. The battery will last longer, but you're not able to drive the car as much because you have to charge more frequently :) I've been tracking my daily commute, generally with no heat, it's only about 9 miles. My speed varies by the road conditions. Some days you can run 2.5Mi/kWh on the same...

2016 Leaf or wait for the 2017?

I live in MN, and would just point out that many of the folks that basically said "no problem! got for it" live in a warmer climate than either of us. They have never driven in a storm that requires constant attention to the windshield, when your feet are freezing, and you are trying to drive...

Fatal Fire From an EV Crash? Nope.

hmmmm.... it's too easy! http://lmgtfy.com/?q=firey+car+crash http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gas+station+fire But then you try to find EV fires, and they say this: So about a MILLION GAS car fires during the study period. But they go on to list every single EV incident they can find... worldwide...

New Nevada PUC approved fees on solar PV, slashes per kWh net-metering credits

If you haven't heard, the Nevada PUC decided to blindly follow the recommended fee structure from the private utility monopoly owned by Warren Buffet. Their review of studies that explored any costs that might be related to a solar PV customer concludes (in a very divisive way... coincidence?)...

encounters w/other Leafers w/surprising lack of knowledge

Let's see, 43560 sq ft per acre... grows... say 180 bushels of corn, which produces roughly 2.5gal of ethanol per bushel (assuming no energy to plow, plant, spray, harvest, transport (grain), dry, process, distill, transport (ethanol), and blend... that's something on the order of 450 gallons...

encounters w/other Leafers w/surprising lack of knowledge

Yes! Since I wrote that, I've had my LEAF nearly a year and a half. And now had the opportunity to buy in to a community solar garden. For $6,000 I bought the rights to the energy from 8 panels. This is enough to power my LEAF 11,000 miles/year (which was my actual usage first full year, a tad...

    2016 30 Kwhr battery

My 2015 seems to complete the charge earlier than the schedule as well (L1 charging). I almost never need over 80% charge, so I set the timer 2 or 3 hours beyond my planned departure time, so the battery isn't sitting for 3 hrs at 100% charge. I presume the system is trying to ensure you have...

Snoqualmie Pass Summit -- bad range?

No, you can't just reverse it because the system is not 100% efficient. You still have rolling resistance, cabin to heat, and air to push out of the way on the downhill run. But, often, the miles going down are essentially gained for zero energy use, or a small net gain.

    2015 S in Minnesota

When you preheat, you can basically go your 10 miles without additional heat, or perhaps just the seat heater and always a lap blanket. My attached garage stays slightly warmer than outdoors, and so windows tend to fog up when you preheat. So I found myself cracking windows to avoid the fogging...

PLEASE SIGN PETITION FOR USPS TO BUY EV's

I support your point about how far you can go with so much energy, but I feel that to be fair, you have to consider what form the energy it in. Electricity is often the result of an inefficient combustion and turbine process and then delivered across a grid with another 10% (give or take) loss...
