Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

That might be mine. We cancelled when I got 2G working a couple of days before our appt. I will be following with interest how yours works out since I'll be making another appt if you get it working.

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

So this worked for two days and now it's not connecting again. Is 2G staying longer than a couple of days when registered with the Canadian one? If so, I am going to get NIssan to switch me over to the Canada one.

Thank You! This worked. Anyone know why we lost it? Hopefully it stays longer this time.

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

"(Make sure you have the US address info you used to initially register the car on the US Site so they can verify it is you)" I registered on the US site with my Canadian address so this is probably why it takes convincing for some of us.

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Not according to Rogers... "Rogers operates Canada's only nationwide 2G GSM/EDGE network, and has committed support until 2018." http://enterprise.rogers.com/en/solutions-services/supporting-infrastructure/rogers-network-advantage

Importing US Leafs to Canada - CARWINGS

Thanks -- your post directed me to the other thread and I got mine to work too using the online chat too. My story is here: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23248&p=482813#p482813

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

THANKS!!! This worked. It sure took me a lot of convincing to get the online Chat person (Joseph) to agree to add my VIN back after I deleted it. He told me it won't work in Canada, etc. etc. but finally he agreed. The thing I noticed was that when I went back and agreed to the terms and...

Importing US Leafs to Canada - CARWINGS

Same here - my last connect was January 4, 2017 -- 2012 Nissan Leaf SL imported from the States. I will contact the Nissan dealer in Langley BC and see what they say. It's not too difficult for me to go down the States to get it upgraded if that's what must be done, as long as it still works...

    Chargeport location survey

I have a Tesla and a Leaf and the Tesla is by far a better location. It's much easier to get out and plug into the back driver's side then to have to go to the front of the vehicle, and the same applies when leaving and unplugging. When out at public chargers, I always back into parking spots...

Heater OFF switch on 1. gen. "plug &play" solution!

That's a perfect spot for it. Thanks. Does anyone know the exact drill bit size?

Heater OFF switch on 1. gen. "plug &play" solution!

I ordered this on Dec. 28 and it arrived today (Vancouver, Canada). That's pretty fast shipping. I installed it in my 2012 SL in under 10 minutes (including watching the YouTube video) and then spent another 10 minutes creating and taping instructions I made below the switch since this car is...

LEAF Manager, alternative carwings app for android

Leaf Manager is great. Easier, better and faster than Nissan's app. Even though it takes ages compared to my Tesla app. I don't pay any attention to the ads so they don't bother me.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Just lost my first bar. 2012 with 25,400 km or 15,780 miles. Disappointing.

Importing US Leafs to Canada - CARWINGS

I was a bit concerned about the Carwings update today with my US imported Leaf but I followed the update procedure all went well and it's working fine.

    The Battery Replacement Thread

Duh! What a waste of space your post is. Obviously it only applies if he opted out. Boy are your rude too. As if, as a Leaf owner, I don't know about the class action. It doesn't apply to everyone -- obviously you know absolutely nothing about it at all!

    The Battery Replacement Thread

It makes perfect sense to me: I think we can safely assume that he will commence a Small Claims action against Nissan for $5,640, plus filing fees. Given Nissan's representations when he bought the vehicle, Nissan will likely pay the claim rather than risk the judgement and precedent it will...

Nissan Leaf vs Tesla Model S

I own a Tesla and a Leaf. With my Tesla, I only had to pay to install a 14-50 outlet since it comes with an EVSE that goes up to 40 AMP on 240 volt but it can also be used on 110. With my Leaf, I had the additional charge of buying a Clipper Creek EVSE. Of course, I could have charged using...
