    Black Rims Video 2

So I finally settled on a set of rims and tires for the leaf. Here is the current walk around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_uzdzKc06c&feature=youtu.be I ended up with Michelin Premier A/S Grand Tourer V rated. 215/45/17. Personally I really am liking the look. As for the tires...

4 donut spares for hyper miling

Has anyone tried running, say Nissan Altima donut spares in a set of 4 on their leaf to try and increased efficiency? I would think with the higher PSI on the tire (60) and the smaller contact patch (135/90/16) that it would be like running on train wheels with very low rolling resistance? Any...

    Black Leaf with Black rims

The g35s look great. The mix of silver with black make it almost gunmetal.

    Black Leaf with Black rims

Just trying out new looks on the leaf. I've been thinking of running black rims on my black leaf. Here is a vid of the first set I've tried. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XN_9VMvri4&list=PLce0SvuauuaEBIdEKfQWLD2WFFL9ufnzg One thing that stands out to me, is that this particular wheel combo...

vid of Nissan Leaf Torn apart and on diplay running!

    Thought this video on youtube was interesting. It shows the important electrical systems of the Leaf all laid out in order. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McvDjpdcBw0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    Leaf w. 350z 18" staggered wheels

Agreed. and I do really need to lower the leaf. Still weighing my options there. The wheel gaps are just too large and need to be dealt with. As for coilovers, how is the Blitz coming up short for you? To soft? harsh? vague? float? hitting bumpstops?

    Leaf w. 350z 18" staggered wheels

Garsh, Thanks for the compliment. Knightarmor, you are right about the weight. As for more specifics I weighed the wheel/tire sets before I swapped the 350z set on. The results: Stock 16 rims and tires = 40.5 lbs 350z fronts = 43.5 lbs 350 rears = 49 lbs As a whole this means the swap...

Leaf vs. Taurus Drag Race vid

Awesome! I love how at a light the leaf doesn't give away that it is going to launch. No revs, no smoke. Just quietly putting the ICE behind you.

Considering making a leaf hot hatch (New perspective)

Nice! It was brand new, it wasn't too cold (it was August but still dropped down to 11ish C, I wanted to use heat but didn't), the first 45 miles was a 35mph ish drive to work, the next 55 miles were a 30mph ish drive home from work, half on country roads with zero traffic, the next was...

Considering making a leaf hot hatch (New perspective)

Drees and Minispeed thanks for the input and Minispeed thanks for the pictures also I have to ask 143 miles in one charge! That is almost double what I generally get. Amazing.

Love the input Minispeed. I have been thinking about coilovers or springs as well. Do you have a picture of your setup?

Is there demand for Leaf Tuning? Show your interest

I like the idea. particularly of on the fly changeable power delivery modes. I would like to have the standard calm every day leaf, but at the flick of a switch let it gobble up tons of amps. Sure might only have a 10 mile range at that mode, but it would be fun to switch on and off, if such...

Leaf vs. Taurus Drag Race vid

Just a short run against a Ford Taurus. Good time was had by all. Traction control was on. Squealing tires was the Taurus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7qWauGtVUA&list=PLce0SvuauuaEBIdEKfQWLD2WFFL9ufnzg&index=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; go Leaf!
