Man... must be a Michigan thing, but I can't remember ever seeing 7 temp bars. We're usually always around 4 and in the winter 3 is the norm. So, I'm a 100% charger. F it.

I'm going to keep rocking 100%. I'm still 2 years from 5 years of service (car entered service in Jan '14). So, I'll see how it goes before I start to baby the battery.

From Nissan's site... "the Nissan LEAF® Lithium-ion battery is also warranted against capacity loss below nine bars of capacity as shown on the vehicle’s battery capacity level gauge for a period of 96 months or 100,000 miles"

Why the desire for the 2014? Just one year newer? 2013 got all the updates that we care about I believe, especially if you shop an SV or SL

Ok, thanks. I have some interior door trim wearing away so I'm taking it in for that and the CarWings update anyway, so I'll at least mention the wheel thing. It just seems odd that it wasn't doing this before.

I searched and didn't find a ton... sorry if I missed a thread. 2013 SV, bought it used in April. Early on the heated wheel would come on and stay nice and warm for an extended period. But now that winter is really here and I'm using the heated wheel more and more it comes on with great fury...

2013 SV, 21,xxx miles. I always fill it up to 100% for a few reasons 1. We always drive it within an hour or 2 after that charge 2. With the 8 year battery warranty I kind of want to wear it down rather than take it easy on it. My thinking is "let's beat this thing up now rather than nurse...

Unless, knowing that the mandate was only for a short term, they engineered them to not last 100,000 miles in an effort to save costs... Then you need them back before they start bursting into flames or crapping out on busy highways, etc

They were never going to make money on them. Their engineers probably said that after a certain amount of time that catastrophic failures were more likely. They only made them because CARB essentially forced them to. They complied. Only one Tesla really gets that range (Model S and X share...

GM didn't kill the electric car. They leased them at a huge loss and decided to stop losing money. Nothing more.
