    The New Tire Replacement Post

I can't speak to the Defenders that would fit on a LEAF, but I had *two* pairs of Defenders go bad on me on two different vehicles. I was a Michelin fan until then. Both tires had developed cracks in less than 2 years. I replaced them with Continental. I'm also using Continentals on the LEAF...

    The New Tire Replacement Post

So far, the Continental PureContact tires have been pretty great. They are marginally less quiet on some surfaces (but not all) than the pretty worn (5/32") OEMs. The grip is spectacular in the dry and in the rain, so far. No tests in the snow, yet. Also, I'm pretty much the opposite of an...

    The New Tire Replacement Post

I ordered new Continental PureContact tires today. They'll arrive within a week or two. My understanding from prior research is that these are LRR and should provide comparable economy to the Ecopias (worn tires notwithstanding), but only time will tell. I also suspect I'm about to drop my first...

    The New Tire Replacement Post

The Contintental PureContact are LRR tires. Not sure about other Continentals. The Nokians are also LRR (and have been reported here and elsewhere as not causing any noticeable impact in range). The Ecopias do have the reputation as one of the better tires if you are prioritizing range...

    The New Tire Replacement Post

After a truly ridiculous amount of research, I think I've narrowed things down to two choices: - Nokian WRG3 - Continental PureContact I am strongly leaning towards the Continentals as they seem to do as well as the highly-touted Michelins (at less cost) and - in some cases - rather better...

Help me decide on a Leaf!

Used car markets are funny things. Wisconsin didn't have any state rebates and we don't have any special lanes or traffic benefits to EV vehicles, so the "benefit" is reduced correspondingly. I paid what I believe is a fair price given the local market (and even looked as far as several...

Help me decide on a Leaf!

I bought a Leaf! The 2013 model did have the QC and LED package but no backup camera. Otherwise, it was very very clean and - if I'm interpreting the Leaf Spy Pro output correctly, has a battery health of 92%. It's also a color we wanted and - most importantly - the wife is happy. It is also...

Help me decide on a Leaf!

These are all great replies and I appreciate the time each of you has taken to respond! Thank you! Largely due to your (collective) input, I think we're going to only be interested in 2013 (or newer) SL or SV models. The 2013 SV *may* have a quick charge package. On Monday I will verify the...

Help me decide on a Leaf!

My wife and I have been researching the Leaf on and off since about 2013 and we think we're ready to grab one. Her commute is about 2 miles one-way during the school year, and while we put on a lot of miles on average (15-17,000 a year) most of those are to and from work, groceries, etc...
