6 month and 1-year checkup - is it necessary?

didn't you get the non-abarasive high capacitance smart fingertip surgically added to your index finger? it was an aftermarket dealer option.

6 month and 1-year checkup - is it necessary?

i KNEW i should have paid a little extra for the heavy-duty start/stop button and the commercial-grade door hinge!

6 month and 1-year checkup - is it necessary?

that's the appropriate term - dealer profit. i got rid of a 14 year old car when i got the leaf. admittedly, i was less than stellar on maintenance for a car that old. i probably went 5 to 7 years without a tire rotation (about 25,000 miles). didn't seem to result in any tire issues or uneven wear.

6 month and 1-year checkup - is it necessary?

that's definitely me - my commute to work is less than 4 miles each way and most of my use is going to and from work. weekends are for fun driving, though!

6 month and 1-year checkup - is it necessary?

i am coming up on 6 months (all of them a lot of fun) with my leased Nissan Leaf. I'm wondering if I truly need to have the car go through the service checkup. I figure it is mostly an opportunity for the dealer to squeeze some extra dollars out of me. I haven't driven much (I'm under 2,000...

    figuring out cost per mile

Thanks! More complicated than I thought it would be!

How much do you pay for insurance for your LEAF?

i was pretty surprised at how reasonable the insurance was. i replaced a 14 year old car, so i expected a huge jump. yes, it was significant, but not beyond what any new car at that price range would have been. there is a lot of work going on by first responders on how to train personnel when...

    figuring out cost per mile

i'm trying to figure out cost per mile, and having some trouble. i assume if i'm getting 4.4 miles per kwh (according to my dashboard), all i need is the marginal rate per kwh from my utility company (Dominion Power in Northern Virginia). a simple calculation, which would then allow me to...

how fast does the heater come on?

i've noticed that the Leaf heater takes a good few minutes to put out warm air. this is true whether the car was just started or running for a long while. I guess that makes sense - no hot engine to help blast warm air into the car interior. just wanted to check with others to see if folks have...

    Warning lights

Cannot figure out what it means when the yellow or rd master warning lights come on steadily. Owners manual seems vage and nothing seems to be wrong.

    leaf owners portal

someone sent me a link to a useful site, i believe run by nissan, which had quite a bit of information on the Leaf, including a list of all Leafs delivered in the US. does that ring a bell with anyone? i lost the link and can't seem to find it by searching google.

    Leaf App for PC?

is there a Leaf app for a PC? i'm using the iPhone and iPad apps and wondered if there was a version for a desktop/laptop.

is anyone charging to only 80% with standard charge?

That makes sense - a good use of the two timers (i agree, it could have been a more elegant feature; also, it sometimes takes a bit of time for the Leaf app to update the info on my iPhone). By the way, I love your license plate.....very clever.

is anyone charging to only 80% with standard charge?

thank you all - VERY good information! by standard charge, i meant the home charger which takes about 7 or 8 hours to charge. i guess that is called level 2? also, it took me a minute, but i think i figured out that LBW is low battery warning. still not sure what SOC means and where on my...
