Any other 6 year owners out there?

Green is nice though. You might have other Leaf owners jealous wondering why they missed the green option when they bought theirs.

    After Market High Capacity Battery

Sigh. The disposable car. Eventually the subsidies will stop *ahem Trump* and it will no longer make sense to toss the 3 year old BEV for a new one. Then we'll see.

First few weeks with my used Leaf... Insurance sticker shock!

Hey great news. I just got notified in my renewal that State Farm has reclassified my vehicle and the premiums went down!! I'll be saving over $3/month!!

    Annual Battery Check service

Wow. that is some droppage. Was it sub 12 bars when you purchased it? Mine was 64.45 Ahr when I bought it back in Dec. 15. As of this past Dec, it is 58.154. I saw a sharp decline over the hot summer. I would think in MA you would have cooler temps and not see such a rapid loss.

    Annual Battery Check service

So what made you go through with it? Are you thinking you have a shot at a warranty replacement? Did the results give you any insights that you didn't have before?

    Annual Battery Check service

That is more in line with what I was expecting. If they had charged me $40, even though the info may be useless to me, I probably would have done it just to maintain the warranty. Even though I still think it unlikely that I'll ever qualify. thanks for the info, all. Yeah, I've owned the...

    Annual Battery Check service

I'm sitting in my local Nissan dealership getting the airbag recall done. I asked them how much it would cost to also do the annual battery check. I haven't had this service done before. I understand it is covered for the first two years of warranty, but I purchased an out-of-warranty Leaf...

First few weeks with my used Leaf... Insurance sticker shock!

wow, that's insane! I'm on State Farm and I saw an increase as well with my Leaf (coming from a Prius), but only in the $40/month range. I pay $118/month for a '13 Leaf and a '16 Highlander. The Leaf costs more than the brand new Highlander, btw. I did get a quote from Geico recently that...

Hello, picking up my 2013 SL in a few weeks

Only $400 short of the full amount you would have gotten under the program. Not bad! We had a similar program in the US several years ago called "Cash for Clunkers". FWIW, I have been on the list for the recall part for 3 weeks with my dealership. No timeline given. Why can't you just go...

    Help! Dropping miles fast

I think range anxiety at first is very normal. Especially if you have an experience like the one you had where you felt like you weren't going to make it home. I had one of those with my wife shortly after I got my Leaf and it was nerve-wracking. Ever since then, she has been very reticent to...

Well that was kind of anti-climactic.

    A recent decline

Yeah, it looks like it's all decline. I did some 100% charges, drove it right away. No change and in fact the decline continues. My latest numbers: AHr; 59.887 SOH: 91% Hx: 89.51 I think my best course of action at this point is to stop obsessing over it. Clearly it isn't going to rebound...

    A recent decline

Hi Leafers, I purchased my Leaf in Nov. of 2015. It was off lease from a cool climate (Chicago) and only had 14K miles on it. I was very pleased with the early readings I was getting from LeafSpy. Here's a sampling from Jan (Date/AHr/SOH/Hx): 1/4/2016 63.83 97% 96.88 1/4/2016 63.758 97%...

Cliff notes version for prospective Leaf owners?

Dude, you are trying to dissuade the OP from buying a used Leaf, you can't get sensitive about someone picking apart your post to argue the opposite. That's what a forum is for. It wasn't meant as a personal attack. There is a big difference between "don't buy a used Leaf" and "don't buy a...

Cliff notes version for prospective Leaf owners?

Wait so he can expect to replace the battery in 4-5 years, but you fully expect to drive 10 on yours? This makes no sense. I totally disagree that OP is a bad candidate for a used Leaf. Based on his commute requirements, he should be able to drive a used Leaf for much much longer than someone...

2013 SV with Leaf spy results that scared me off - Opinions?

Good/acceptable is going to be relative. And each car is different based on how it was driven, how it was charged and where it grew up. My '13 SV has 17K miles on it. It was from a lease near Chicago. Right now, AHr is 65.02, Hx = 99.3%, SOH= 99%, and L1/L2=648. I got super lucky though...

Hi from CA ... question about Bluetooth

The phone connects using different protocols. For phone conversations, it uses mono audio. For app audio, it uses A2DP. The only way to get A2DP audio to play is to put the stereo in Bluetooth audio mode. There are apps, such as BTMono, that allow the media channel audio (normally A2DP) to...

Leaving at the airport for 1 week

I have a trip coming up in March in which I will need to leave my Leaf at the Airport for a week. I have never left it alone that long so I have a couple of questions. 1 - how much battery depletion should I expect from it sitting? If I leave it at 50%, what should I expect it to be at when I...

2013 Leaf: QC vs lower mileage

I think this assessment varies widely based on your region. In Raleigh, NC, I think we have seen nothing but an increase in infrastructure. Though it probably still lags well behind CARB states. To me, this question is less about QC vs. non-QC as it is SV vs. S. I don't think 10K miles...
