Should we purchase our leased 2016 Leaf S?

Since you know the car and it's history, and I'm pretty sure you can't replace it for that amount, I'd say go for it. Can you live with it for another 4 years or so?

    2014 sv vs 2015 sv

There is a guy in our Facebook group trying to sell his 2014 SL in Kirkland, WA with less than 33K and about 90% SOH on it for $11K. He is moving and is very motivated to sell, too.

    2016 SOH versus miles

I agree with the OP, less than $13K is below market around here for a 2016 SV. I've been keeping an eye out for one, and they tend to be in the $16K and above range. There is one locally with less miles but missing a bar, and it's from this area (Tacoma).

Fenix Power - Took money and but never delivered

I suppose pricey was a poor choice of words. I'd be hesitant to commit to a monthly fee for an unknown product from an unknown company with an unknown future. Just a whole lot of questions would need to be answered for the average consumer to consider signing up, I think. I do applaud their...

Fenix Power - Took money and but never delivered

MOD Update: Fenix Power appears out of business. They took money from customers but never delivered anything I saw this on my Facebook Seattle Nissan Leaf Owners site this morning. Anybody heard of these guys before? Seems like it could be a little pricey at $100 + per month, but it is an...

How To: Reverse Backup Camera for SV Model w/ OEM Telematics

You're obviously on the right track if you have video of any kind. I doubt the ground is your issue but should be easy enough to check.

How To: Reverse Backup Camera for SV Model w/ OEM Telematics

I can't help with the 2011 model wiring, especially from a foreign market. You really need to find the wiring diagram from the service manual for your car. The good news is you got the blank screen with the guide lines when in reverse, so you are halfway there. You need to confirm you have...

    Said goodbye to 11mpg yesterday

Younker Nissan, you must be in the Seattle area. I know the service manager there, Charlie. He's a good guy.

Changing the J1772 cord on the Blink

Surgery complete, and the patient survived. Pretty straightforward for anyone considering this. The biggest problem I had was getting the strain relief over the new cable; lots of silicone and twisting. I did not use ferrules, I just twisted the wire tight before I screwed them into the block...

Changing the J1772 cord on the Blink

I'm about to perform this exact same procedure. Although I haven't taken the case off yet, I think I can imagine what we are talking about here and wondering what the best solution is for crimping on some sort of ferulle for the L1 and L2 wires.

Aftermarket backup camera install gone wrong

Not a lot of interest in this mod anymore, which I understand since all the newer models have it as standard equipment, but just to update my post and for anyone considering this on a 2013, please read my post here: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=10107&p=533583#p533583

How To: Reverse Backup Camera for SV Model w/ OEM Telematics

OK, I finally got my camera installed in my 2013 SV and there are several issues in this How To that need to be addressed before anyone with this particular car attempts this mod. First of all, according to the factory service manual, the 2013 SV without Bose does not have have an M84 connector...

Looking at certified pre-owned 2015 Leaf

You are probably thinking of EVSE Upgrade, and I had mine modified by them. It works great and is a viable solution. You can often find them used or find someone who wants to trade for your OEM EVSE plus some cash. If you own your home, then putting in a 240 Volt outlet is worth looking into and...

Looking at certified pre-owned 2015 Leaf

That's steep for an S model. Maybe even steep for an SV, IMHO. If they have your number, I would be surprised if you don't get a call in the near future.

    Blink WE-30CIRE from 2011

I do appreciate all the input, and I feel a little better about my impulse buy now. I've been using a OEM EVSE upgrade for my level 2 charging for the last year which is capable of 24 amps, but not really built for it. I've also been using it through the garage door until recently, so I'm...

How To: Reverse Backup Camera for SV Model w/ OEM Telematics

They've been deleted or expired on another server. I wish I could see them too after spending yesterday trying to get one to work. I'm not sure if they would clear things up, but you know what they say about them; they're worth a thousand words.

    Blink WE-30CIRE from 2011

Thanks for all the info! I did hook the system up and it seems to work just fine, although WiFi seems to not find any signal. Not a big deal to me. At 24 amps, it worked fine and I saw no signs of overheating, but I set it to 16 amps just to be safe. I might look into that 30 amp replacement...

Aftermarket backup camera install gone wrong

After reading the how to's here, I finally decided with a friends help to install a backup camera in my 2013 SV. After many hours of checking and re-checking our connections, we've both come to the same conclusion; We don't know what went wrong! I think it comes down to pin 56 on the M84...

Deciding between two used Leafs (first EV)

Leaf Spy would be your best bet to compare these cars, obviously, but the 2013 does sound like it might be in good shape and the fact that it is an SL might make it more attractive. I entertained trading my 2013 SV in on a 2014 SL recently at a local NIssan dealership. The 2014 only has 12000...

    Blink WE-30CIRE from 2011

Yes, and of course the parent company is bankrupt. Is the amperage adjustable on these units?
