    EVgo infrastructure thread

I noticed the strange EA software throttle on chademo happen around the time the billing switched to per kwh instead of per min. I don't think it's the cables as I've looked on them and their rated for at least 100kw charging. The charge units were breaking a lot though back when I got the 70kw+...

What is your real world range with 40 and 62 KWH?

What I mean by the bolded part is that their seems to be a latent delay in how fast the data updates even when resetting it. Other brands of cars seem to update averages more frequent. Maybe it's just that the leaf uses all of time, where other makers may use last 1000 miles or so.

What is your real world range with 40 and 62 KWH?

Oops, I meant KWh not kW my bad. I'll reset it and see if that fixes it. It seems weird to me that the car doesn't refresh it with new data periodically.

Is it possible to travel from Salt Lake to Denver?

I wouldn't even try this is my 2019 sl plus. Even with the new chargers coming from electrify America and the new level 3 by rocky mountain power in moab I wouldn't attempt this in anything less than a plus model leaf. I will also say that lots of these route calculation programs are terrible...

What is your real world range with 40 and 62 KWH?

On my plus I get a constant 3.8miles per kw average no matter what I do. Although my GOM averages 230-240 miles at the start, so it seems weird. I've inflated my tires to 43 psi, since my tires say 44psi max on them. So far I have 3980 miles on my plus, and my commute is mixed up and down hill...

Rapidgate on the 62 kWh Leaf Plus?

On my 2019 sl plus I don't seem to have rapidgate anymore, I traded in a 2018 sv that was an early model and definitely had rapid gate. The battery obviously heats up from charging, but I haven't seen it go much past the center yet on the several 300+ mile trips i've taken. I was using electrify...

Between Phoenix and Palm Springs there's loads of bugger all, dear boy

My advice would be don't risk it unless taking a hotel in a worst case scenario is okay with you. I have a sl plus and it's gom is very accurate when you've been driving at highway speed at least a few mins. From what I have found on my trips from salt lake to Boise, the gom is usually...

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

I’ve tried all the chargers near me, and everywhere on a few trips, and have yet too find one over 50kw. I think the nearest one too me is the worlds largest thermometer in Baler, California. EVgo kind of sucks here in terms of equip, as it’s mostly dated. I’m hoping electrify America turns on...

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

I used a combination of the dash charging rate indicated, and leaf spy pro. The Nissan Leaf dash seems to be fairly accurate, although a bit fuzzy compared to doing the calculation manually with the total time and inputed kw to get an average charging rate.

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

That was the deal upfront, I think my dealer might get some incentive from Nissan to sell more or something as they were super eager to do anything to get me in it. I don't know exact temps, but it never went much above the exact center of the gauge the whole time. It also cooled back down to...

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

Yes MSRP was $44k, but the dealer had a deal with my local utility Rocky Mountain power that knocked the price down $3500 alone, plus other Nissan rebates I got.

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

I bought an SL plus the other day, trading in my 2018 SV. So far I can say the new leaf plus is tremendously better in lots of ways. The first one being I seem to get better miles per kw averaging 3.8 to 4 in most scenarios. I believe this may have something to do with more available power from...

    Electrify America Network

Just as a PSA to everyone on here if you plan on using electrify America chademo side, make sure you have backup plans/ a level 2 evse and adaptors with. I recently tried 2 of the new sites and one the card reader was broke, and even when I called them they couldn’t get it working. They even...

    Rapidgate fixed in Europe

I think we should all send some strongly worded letters to Nissan consumer Affairs expressing how this does affect us drivers in America as well. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and the only way we’re going to get this update is by voicing concerns or someone getting a hack copy of the...

    Electrify America Network

Anybody have any insight into why Electrify America has several stations that were completed months ago that still haven't opened? I have noticed a trend where they seem to open them at random, when some stations just sit and never get opened. An example is the one in Dell, Montana completed...

    Nissan Connect EV

I have a 2018 SV and I have yet to get the official Nissan connect app to work. No matter where my car is parked or how many times I tap refresh it always says "Unable to reach vehicle". If I use the website it works, but slowly as if it is a 2g connection or something. In the IOS store I found...

    2018 Leaf map date

My 2018 SV shows 2017 for the maps on the nav as well. I think it's either an error or they shipped all 2018's with 2017 maps. My vehicle was manufactured in March 2018 if that gives any insight. Would love to hear if other owners have 2017 on their 2018 leafs.

    Electrify America Network

I agree with the points that it should be a priority from Portland first, however I am just happy they are at least adding them to the areas I need as well. To get to Heyburn, ID currently I have to go from SLC to the maverick in Farr West Utah aka North Ogden to charge, then charge a bit in...

    Electrify America Network

The Heyburn, ID station is an important station for anyone going from Salt Lake City to Boise, as I often do from time to time. My family lives in Boise and going back and forth costs a mint in gasoline with my regular ICE car. I would much prefer to take my 2018 leaf but currently I can only...
