Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Still shopping, now for a 2020 base S (2019s finally seem extinct), and I made it inside a dealership to honor a texted quote, which of course they didn’t, so I walked. So many shady dealers I wish I could just buy online like a Tesla. Anyway, Nissan 2020 discount is now $6000, so if anyone...

FWIW, the Nissan rebate on 2020 is now $4000, up from $3000 in June/July. Wonder how high this rebate gets each year - anyone know the max, and the month it happens? 2019 rebates disappeared off the page, reflecting almost no 2019s around, but dealer applied same $4k on a quote.

That’s a solid deal. Not many 2019 left nationwide 2 months later, and the ones I can find aren’t plus, yet they come in well over $30 (one was a 2019 SV with tech and weather for over $34k, and NOT a plus). More selection in 2020s, yet a base S with absolutely no options except S-charge also...

Amazing deal. Important to note though: you are a Colorado resident. Someone out of state would not be fronted the $4000 (or be eligible). Coleafredo, who posted above, also confirmed by PM that he was residing in CO at the time he was getting those discounted offers. So to reiterate my...

Yes, I totally agree with your conclusion: I called several CO dealerships months ago, including “Woodmen” (who advertise super cheap on cargurus by artificially including all the rebates - pretty shady), and the salespeople I spoke with said you’d need to live in CO to get any of those...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

It's not repetitious to me at all - do tell! I'm not a Colorado resident (I'm Florida), but when you say "if you CAN buy a car in CO" do you mean residency? My friend bought a car in Kansas or something and shipped it all the way here for savings, but if I understand correctly, the Colorado...

They were very firm 3 months ago, and I tried to restart negotiations today, but the salesman appears to be gone. I guess it’s worth a try given the amount of time that’s elapsed.

Inventory of 2019s near me hasn't changed since April, but neither have prices. When would there be a meaningful change - would I have to wait until 2021s come out? When DO 2021s come out?

Doug: a 2019 S+ for low $20s after the $7500, meaning about $29000 before the rebate? Not sure about that - I haven’t found any. I don’t even look at the plus because I’m bottom fishing for a 2019 and content with the lower range model. The person who revived this thread wrote that the best he...

It’s not a bad deal for today, but demand has crashed, and better prices will be ahead, if you can hold in there.

    April 2020 incentives?

So the May incentive is... same as April. Keeps me in the fence. I feel like better deals ahead, but would like to buy love and get it over with! Have nowhere to drive though, so no rush. 2019 cars aren’t getting any newer!

My friend bought a 2016 in 2017 for about $16k, and with the $7500 credit ended up under $10K! Years later I was searching craigslist and couldn’t find the same 2016 for under $12k, and that’s with 50k miles on it and 4 years of time (and depreciation). I’m kicking myself for not taking that...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Wish there were more posts on buying experiences, but I guess the forum reflects society: no buying happening. I was originally in the market for a used under $10k, but when I realized I could buy new, more range, no mileage and no hidden issues for around $20k (with $7500 rebate), I refocused...

Value of 2019 plus 12k miles? estate sale/private

Man, it kills me to hear how cheap some of you can get these cars in other states. A state rebate?! A utility rebate?! Ghads! I’m looking at a Florida dealer’s 2019 SV with tech package (not a SV plus, mind you), for about $28k before tax. With tax, and then subtracting the $7500 federal credit...

    April 2020 incentives?

I checked a bunch of Colorado dealerships, and even one my Miami buddy bought in Minnesota, but the state discounts seem to be state-specific and when you strip them out, prices seem to be the same everywhere, including the Florida dealers. Right now the 2019 Nissan rebate is $3500 and the...

    April 2020 incentives?

I live in Florida, so no state incentives at all. If I buy from an incentive-rich State like Colorado, would I do better? (Though there are transport costs). Is this discussed in another thread? Are May incentives typically better than April?
