Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

I don't care what standard they use, as long as they all use the same ;) CCS is the most common connector here and it has some good time until J3400 takes over in the USA and Canada, if it ever does. I think most of us agree that Nissan should've ditched chademo long ago for the USA and...

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

Also, connecting a J1772 plug into the CCS receptacle of the chademo adapter is obviously not going to do anything 😅

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

@Bombastinator2 Ah, you mean level 1 and level 2 then. 1 is 115v and 2 is 220v. Using "phase" is a bit confusing in the context ;)

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

Stations with chademo connection here have both chademo AND ccs. But the station allows only one at a time, not both. As for the EV code and ethic, was that ever a thing? I've had an EV for a year now and I've not seen much of it. Pretty much everybody for himself.

NIssanConnect EV: LEAF SL 2018 vs LEAF SL+ 2022

Both cars are parked side by side in my driveway. That's weird then! Nice to know there might be a way to improve things on the 2018.

    CHAdeMO

Did I get this right? A Nissan dealer offered you a CCS conversion for a LEAF?

Ccs1/2 to chademo adapter, north america

I am waiting too. Also I just got me a SL+ so I don't have to quick charge as often, if anymore. The trick is that here, QC stations with chademo are always the slowest on every sites, and so are cheaper by the hour, and so are always the first taken. Not necessary the smartest choice, but what...

NIssanConnect EV: LEAF SL 2018 vs LEAF SL+ 2022

I just wanted to share something. I'm in Quebec, Canada, if that helps guessing what Nissan servers I might use. I've had the 2018 for a year and damn that app has been frustrating to use. Less so lately but still slow as heck. I've had my 2022 for a week now, and I have both cars in the app...

Thinking about trading my 2018 SL for a 2022 SL+, in Canada

I got the 2022 :D Thanks for your advice everyone.

I can use something else instead of nissan connect?

Ovms does not support 2018+ models. Although it looks promising https://github.com/openvehicles/Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System-3/issues/323

Any interest for a VSP-delete module?

If that's of any interest, I'm soon going to own both a 2018 and a 2022 for a while. I could do some tests that are not too involving or time consuming. The 2022 is annoyingly noisier than the 2018, and it'd be nice to at least make it quieter. Putting sound dampening mats on the speakers seems...

Onboard charger upgrade to 3 phase

Hmmm, wouldn't that just be building a big heavy DC fast charging station into the car? And always carrying it?

When does turtle mode appear and how much farther can you go when it does?

I recently did a three cycle deep discharge on my 2018 40kwh and turtle mode appeared at three different points. Once it appeared with some % left while driving, and once it appeared right before the car shut off while parked. I think it depends on how hard your driving. The harder, the sooner...

Thinking about trading my 2018 SL for a 2022 SL+, in Canada

867 L1/L2 charges though, that's about 50km average between charges, and more charges than there are days in the car's life. Most probably the car was always on charge, so at near 100%, right? I know that should be avoided. Should I be worried?

Thinking about trading my 2018 SL for a 2022 SL+, in Canada

Well, the dealer sold the car to someone else. I took too much time. But the dealer just got another one for the same price, and honestly I think this one I should just get right now. It has one, ONE quick charge 😱

    Should I buy a 73k mile 2018 SL?

Not sure if the Bolt has an equivalent app to leaf spy? Or an equivalent community? 😉

    Should I buy a 73k mile 2018 SL?

When not under load, all the battery cells are normally within a couple of mv from each other. You should see a pretty flat battery graph, and leaf spy also tells the difference between the cell with mininmum voltage and the cell with maximum voltage. That diff should be in the tens of mv. Less...

    Should I buy a 73k mile 2018 SL?

Mine would suddenly loose up to 10% in less than 10s when driving casually up a hill in cold weather, then gradually recover that sudden loss once atop the hill. It's fine in warm-ish weather though. It's been 10c all day today and I've done about 150 km with still 25% left. I drive a...
