I doubt it, not at that price that is not too far from a loaded up LEAF or a stripped Volt.
The sad thing is that ALL the compliance cars are better than the LEAF.. because the manufacturers are not limited by having to make a profit. The compliance cars are a better deal..

This is one reason I like the SMR (Small Modular Reactor) concepts that are being developed/licensed now.. the whole reactor fits inside a concrete lined well... that can be flooded with water if needed.. and for maintenance you lift it up with a crane and transport it back by truck to the...
I dont hold out much hope for a charging infrastructure when everyone has sockets in their garage.. but at least the status of the EVSE or Chademo charger should always be available instantly over the internet.. just a cam and some text is all you need. The cam can also be used to monitor...
I still think free charging if you bought the car at the dealership is a great idea (and can prove it with a decal on the back of the car).. otherwise you pay $10 with a regular debit or credit card like every fuel pump in the USA. It probably would be a good idea to monitor the free charge...
You guys remember the complaints from the Leaf Taxi drivers in Japan?.. I hope that Nissan battery is refrigerated so it can take several fast DC charges a day.
Nissan, with their "not yet official" warranty implies 3 CB loss is pretty near to 30% battery degradation, the accepted number for a dead lithium-ion battery.
If you get a call after the wive leaves for work.. Could you go pick her car up and drop the Leaf?.. 60 miles a day is kind of marginal in winter, unless you can pick up an occasional charge
The trend will be towards bigger batteries, true 100-200 miles range, that will make charging outside the home very rare.. the only place I see fast chargers are on the highways, in between cities. I dont think charging as a business will ever pay except now when technology restricts our range.
The Leaf is not a 100 mile car if you get on the hwy, its not really a hwy cruiser but because it sells well in the Land of Highways (CA) people get confused.. Nissan could have done a lot to alleviate this range anxiety issue, like limiting the top speed to 60mph.. that is way more than enough...
Just park over a sprinkler head for 10 minutes :)
A floor fan blowing into the front of the car plus a small water mister would do a good job also, maybe use 4 gallons of water?
They are conventional mechanical-hydraulic brakes like you find in most power brake setups, except the boost is provided by an electrical servo in place of a vacuum booster. Regen is "fly-by-wire"
It looks like $5k might be possible for Tennessee re-manufactured pack, with core return. Factory refurbishment with used cells seems like a possibility also, if they have enough used and tested modules on hand, you would want all the cells in a pack to be somewhat matched in capacity ... the...
I had the same problem in Florida and it was an oven.. go to Home Depot, buy a few sheets of 3/4" styrofoam and line the inside of the garage door with it.. use double sided carpet tape to attach it, works very well.
