    Schneider EV2430WS (1st gen) troubleshooting

The Gen 2/2.5 EVLink improved on car compatibility issues. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the cause, especially since the eGolf didn't exist when Gen 1 came out. Hopefully someone at Schneider can help you out, I had extremely good service from them a few years ago with a very odd problem...

    End of Lease Strategies?

Well, we did it... we purchased our leased '13 SV for $8K off. $11K before tax/title, which is pretty much in line with market value (at least if one were to purchase from a dealer). We love this Leaf a lot, and our other option would be to lease a new one next year (or sooner). A 3-year...

Ending Leaf lease and want to lease a new one

Perhaps the dealer just matched VPP pricing, without it going through the official VPP program? That's pretty awesome though.

Nissan tells my wife to sit in the BACK SEAT!

A fair point, and certainly a possibility, but in my experience I didn't see that occur.

No way. Citation needed. Also, I forgot in the list are military personnel and recent college grads.

Nissan tells my wife to sit in the BACK SEAT!

Why is the obvious temporary solution being ignored? Check the light every time you turn on the car with a passenger sitting there. If it's on, turn the car off and back on, and it will very likely be off, and you continue along driving safely. Seems rather easy and IMO preferable to just...

Impressive! I just called and got the same $8K offer on my '13 SV (currently in its 4th year of a 2 year lease :-) ). Contemplating...

Ending Leaf lease and want to lease a new one

Careful with your terms there. VPP is a discount program offered to Nissan employees, business associates, and trade partners. Don't go asking for it if you're not eligible :-). Also, the $1000 rebate was only for early adopters -- just owners of '11 and '12 models. The only thing you get...

    Khons 32a portable L2 EVSE

I'm sure they just used whatever plug was cheapest. We should probably be happy they didn't use a standard NEMA 5-15 and tell you to use that for 32A@240V :-P.

    No, they are completely unrelated.

    Khons 32a portable L2 EVSE

The description now says "Comes with a NEMA 10-50 Plug ( stove plug )", which is accurate to the photo. However, given that there's no earth ground connection, this is both dangerous and in violation of electrical standards. Presumably they are just hijacking the neutral connection for earth...

Charging trips GFCI on my hot tub?

That can't be true because UL doesn't test for electrical noise. UL tests for safety (like thermal testing, fault conditions, electrocution & fire hazards, etc... all depends on the standard being tested). On the other hand, they may not be able to pass FCC testing (and CE testing for the EU)...

    Goodbye LEAF, hello...

...You put 44K miles on your Leaf in 3 years and you just got a 10K/year lease on your Spark EV? Sounds like you're going to paying a lot of mileage overage fees!

    End of Lease Strategies?

I just called them as well since our lease is due in June. Can extend another 12 months on our '13 SV, or get $6K off purchase. Only good until end of Feb. Very timely of me to start checking so early! Big thanks to people here for posting that they were doing this, otherwise I would have...

I have one of those eDash wind-up cars (actually two, I got the Prius as well). They work well and are super fun to play with.

No, the EVlink cannot be dialed back.

Hacking the VSP Box (Noise Maker)

That's actually not entirely true either -- many late '11s had the "cold weather package" that gave them the seat, steering wheel, and battery heaters. So (I believe) the only known differences between an '11-CW and a '12 are the VSP off button, and the lack of a light in the glove box (yes...
