Turning out great! The color is cool too...

Any interest for a VSP-delete module?

As far as I know, it doesn't make any sound when stopped unless you are in reverse. Also, I don't think it makes any sound above a certain speed (10 mph?). Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

I would also suggest you use a weight distribution hitch to move some of the tongue weight to the front axle. Anderson makes a really nice one for lighter trailers.

    2018 LEAF Horn Upgrade DIY

Recently got the new horn, now I have to find the time to install it. Great write-ups, they will make the task easier. Thank you!!

    Monster Leaf

Agree. Looks like a mean golf cart!! Good use for an aging EV. Our neighbors just traded in their '13 Leaf on a Tesla, they got $800 (!!) trade-in on the Leaf... Turning it into a dune buggy would be tempting.

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

Yes, it clears it up. Thank you for the explanation. 😊 I do like the black top on your car. When we bought our '19, the black top was not offered on the red car.

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

Hey Nutsodeluxe. Can you enlighten me on what a ZE1 is as opposed to, say, a -plus Leaf? Maybe you did in one of your threads, apologize if I missed it.

    16 Amp EVSE Recommendations

I have a JuiceBox that seems to be a good unit, probably not the cheapest though. You can limit the charging current.

Poor Tire tread life on 2 year old 17K miles Leaf

I noticed the same thing between our '11 and '19 Leaf. I will frequently spin the tires on the '19 when accelerating to get into traffic, never noticed it on the '11.

Cost to Own an EV vs. Gasoline Vehicle

Hey there. Can you explain this a little more? My car connects to my home wi-fi all the time. I do not know what it does. How do you update maps, etc? I suppose it is done inside the car when connected to wi-fi(?). My car is a 2019 SL+. Thank you!!

T-Boned yesterday on our 2019 SL Plus

Sounds like you are making out well. Glad that a bad event is turning out good. We too love our 2019 SL Plus!!

    Towing a teardrop camper?

Yes, we will see, please keep us posted. BTW, I see that you purchased your '19 the same day we got ours!!

    Towing a teardrop camper?

When we were test driving the '19 Leaf, I asked the dealer what the tow rating is. He said: Oh, I'd say 2 or 3 thousand pounds. Take that for what it is worth. When we were camping on the Oregon Coast this last Summer, there was a Tesla there that had a fairly good sized trailer it was towing...

    Michelin CrossClimate2

Thank you for the post on these tires. Yeah, I have noticed that the OEM tires on our '19 SL Plus have low traction especially when the road is wet (which, around here will be that way 90%+ of the time now until May!). I will definitely look into these when I am ready to get new tires.

Hypermiling with the Leaf (+CAN hack for no regen)

I appreciate the thoughts about turning off the regeneration mode. We live in a pretty hilly area, half the time you are going up or down a hill. In the old days (I know, I'm old) cars had what is called compression braking, that worked pretty good keeping the car at the right speed with...

Tips & Tricks for the Gen II 40KWH/62KWH Leaf

I have a 2019 SL+ and this partial recirculation trick seems to work on mine. Thank you very much for the tip!! So, I guess it works on '18 and '19 Leaf's, but not on the '20's as you state (that is a funny feature to remove it seems).

    Adjustable EVSE

Yeah, I don't know what would happen. When I tried to set the charge current to 1 amp, the app told me that it had to be between 5 and 150 amps. Obviously, if you set it higher than the EVSE or car can charge at, it will not go that high, so setting it lower than the car will charge will cause...

    Adjustable EVSE

It can be as low as 5 amps. Pretty low...

    Adjustable EVSE

I have a JuiceBox 40 EVSE. It allows you to set time intervals for charging as well as limiting the Maximum Rate (up to 40 amps in this case).

After a seven year hiatus I've bought another Leaf

Congratulations and welcome back! We had an '11 that we liked, but the range was a bit of a pain. We now have a '19 SL + that we love!
