NissanConnect EV / Telematics Hardware Update, for the post-2G world

Well, here's an update for me: I had continued issues with the 12-volt battery and while it showed up as okay on a battery tester, I took a punt and replaced the 12-volt battery for a Optima Yellow Top. It all seems okay now :)

NissanConnect EV / Telematics Hardware Update, for the post-2G world

Yeah, that's where I'm going with mine. I'm waiting for my wife's flight to land, and then we'll probably sort something out this afternoon. Car is currently in the garage in 'ready on' in an attempt to ensure the battery doesn't go flat before it need to use it ;)

NissanConnect EV / Telematics Hardware Update, for the post-2G world

Woke up to an almost dead 12v battery this morning after leaving the car unplugged last night... With a trickle charger attached.... I was getting the same TCU error as a few posters ago too...

NissanConnect EV / Telematics Hardware Update, for the post-2G world

Well, Add me to the list... Me and our 2013 LEAF SL Last monday, we came downstairs to a flat LEAF which, after jump starting, behaved itself until yesterday morning -- when it did the same thing. This time the battery was flat as a pancake and started throwing errors every time it was...

"internal" Daytime Running Lights (DRL or DTRL) on U.S. LEAFs

European LEAFs have two bulbs in the fog lamp housing: one for DLR and one for Fog. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-LEAF-HATCHBACK-2011-FOG-LIGHTS-LAMPS-DRL-LIGHTS-1-PAIR-O-S-N-S-/222161422402?hash=item33b9da4842:g:dRMAAOSwZQxW4g89

Do we have any updates on the thread yet? Was talking about this with someone the other day :)

    Leaf Japanese Body Kit

It's a marker to help you locate the nearside front bumper, so that you don't scrape the car or damage the paint when executing a tight parking move. In the UK, I can tell you that I've wished plenty of times that I had one. In Japan, they'd laugh at how much space we have. Japanese parking...

    US Leaf in Europe: CarWings?

How long are you in Europe for -- and more appropriately -- where are you? I only ask because I'm heading the OTHER way... UK to U.S.... Maybe there's a way to 'swap' nav units?

UK LEAF: 74 miles, 7 guesstimated left, 90% SOC, 82% Cap.

So I just thought I'd share this little bit of fun: My LEAF has 58,676 miles on it. (Well more now, because my wife will have driven it to work ) Yesterday, I completed a 552 mile round trip from Bristol to Norwich and back (UK). While my journey to Norfolk involves a stop mid-way between...

    rear cupholders in center console

Sure thing! I think after a long deliberation, we've decided NOT to bring our LEAF to the US -- it's just going to cost too much... and my battery is already at 82% Capacity... But, I'll certainly keep my eyes open for parts :)

    rear cupholders in center console

.... You mean like the ones we have on UK market LEAFs? There's a slide-out cupholder there for sure on the UK ones. It's great for my kids, who use it to store drinks when we're on the road. It's also one of the many reasons we want to bring our LEAF stateside next year. We also have a...

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

So... has anyone tried the program in an e-NV200 yet? It's the European launch next week... and I'm going ;)

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

So... after a week where my feet didn't touch the ground, I've finally grabbed a few moments to get the coordinates of the UK map. It appears (though I couldn't get it to go right to the edge) to run from 22 degrees North, 20 degrees west to 80 degrees north, 68 degrees east. Does that fit...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

I just want to thank Timehorse for helping me with my trip prep. Thanks! It'll save me a lot of hassle! Nikki.

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Timehorse, Just sent you my data as a ZIP file. Can you look and confirm the system is the same for Europe, please? FYI, the EU LEAFs contain navigation data for the whole of the EU. Nikki.

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Great! Thanks for offering help. Let's see what I can do in the next few days. (I'll need to ask my other half to take her Volt instead of my LEAF so I can tinker!) I can tell you that the unit itself is based on the same tech, but obviously the location data may be different if the algorithm...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

HI Folks, Is someone willing to help me prepare for this trip by helping load all of the various POI, KML, and other location files of public charging stations onto my LEAF's sat Nav? And by that, I mean help me convert the locations to LEAF-friendly data I can put onto an SD card? Maybe an...

Lost a bar in the UK... after 3 years, 21 days, 52,778 miles

Well, given I'm planning on moving a little further south next year with My LEAF (provided Nissan get back to me on getting it to the same spec as a US one) Hiro won't get a temperature shock!

Lost a bar in the UK... after 3 years, 21 days, 52,778 miles

Oh yes, I know! But you wouldn't believe the stir some EV folks are trying to create here in the UK over my tweet this morning. Y'know, I think I've done really rather well. I've hammered my LEAF a lot. It's never let me down. We've had one turtle in three years. Frankly, I think my car is...

Lost a bar in the UK... after 3 years, 21 days, 52,778 miles

I'm not sure if I'm the first one in the UK to get this (although I think so). I do know that Hiro Nakamura is one of the higher mileage LEAFs here. (There are a handful with higher mileage but not far off) Driving to the mall this morning with the family (it's a holiday today) we noticed the...
