Power wire for aftermarket grid defroster on windshield of 2011 leaf

The heater went out in my 2011 leaf and it’s not cost effective to fix it, but I still need a defroster. I bought a grid defroster for the front windshield and it comes with all the wiring, a switch and a 20 amp inline fuse. Does anyone have a suggestion for where to tap a wire for power? The specs say that the peak draw is 15.3 amps. I think it would be ideal if I mounted the new switch and controller near the other switches that are to the lower left of the steering wheel.

For that kind of draw, I'd go to a fused connection directly to the 12 volt battery.
