Hello, New contributor here. Wondering if anyone has traveled from Vancouver, BC to Cranbrook, BC in a first gen leaf. (2015) Ive lost one bar and the guess-o-meter reads about 130km when fully charged. The longest legs between chargers looks like its between Salmo and Castlegar and then Kitchener (Kidd Creek Rest stop) and Cranbrook at both at 83 km. The elevation goes to 1600 m as well between chargers at one of these legs. Any success stories or advice would be welcome. I think i will probably need to tow my Leaf there but I want to know if its been attempted.

Thanks

How lucky do you feel?

Probably doable, in good weather. Tailwind would help.

Is probably the worst section.

I wouldn't try it.

Definitely sounds like an adventure :)

I haven't even worked up the courage to drive to Kelowna. I suspect you won't make it, as an 11 bar could be close to dropping to 10 bars. Going up steep routes, even in good weather, at highway speeds - you'd be lucky to get 80 km of range if you charge to 100%.

If I had a 30 kWh pack, I would definitely attempt the Coquihalla to Kelowna. Someday, when I get a 2018 LEAF for a reasonable price :)
