Thanks for posting @scottf200.
I was there Saturday night. Looks finished except for some paint etc. It was coned off and the Superchargers were unlit so I didn't attempt to plug in. Any idea why this site doesn't show up as a future SC on the Tesla Supercharger page? Seems like it will be up and running for TG traffic next week.
I saw a tweet last night saying it is now up and running.

I can only imagine it is for a big promotional PR announcement. Thanksgiving makes a lot of sense. I hope the workers were compensated for this job that seem to happen pretty fast overall. It will be very interesting to hear about the solar panel and battery storage capacity.

Wow, both the 40 stall sites show as open on the official Tesla pages. In time for Thanksgiving and the semi-truck event:

Re: Tesla Semi "megacharger" 400 miles in 30 minutes.

It will be interesting to see this network expand as well.

We asked our friend KManAuto, who had the opportunity to get an up-close view of the Tesla Semi Megacharger port, how the company might be able to support such power levels.

“I think they increased the voltage, for simplicity probably doubled it. keeps the wire size down. Less heat build up. The charge port on the semi also has eight pins for charging. Of course, positive and negative, means it’s like having four normal Superchargers plugged in.” says Kman. “So if it was for normal Superchargers through the same size pins it would be approximately 500 kW due to wire size. If they double the voltage, they could run twice the amount of power through the same wires, meaning they would be able to hit 1.6 MW.”

Is this a misquote, or is my math just really bad? Do they mean to say 800kW instead of 500kW? Or is it 1.0MW?

Either way, breaking into Megawatt range for charging is notable. Now let's see them deploy a megacharging network for their semis!

I think it is 2 (+/-) pins in a normal supercharger at approx 125kW (i.e. Tesla says up to 130) so 4 times that many pins (8) would be 500kW (125*4). That was my quick read on it.

Scott, unless Tesla has changed the specs, the regular SCs are rated at 135 kW per cabinet, split between two stalls with a max. of 120kW per stall; the new urban SCs are rated for 72 kW per stall, no sharing. Were you working from memory there?

BTW, Baker is currently down, and the link to the SC page as well as the listing on the Find Us page has been removed.

I did see that about Baker. Hopefully back up in the next couple days for TG. Wonder if the 5 Powerpacks are all charged up (174 kWh each it appears for peak time cost reduction or some percentage of it for other times).

Thx. Yes, from memory and I was also just doing the simple math so the numbers worked out. KMan quote said approx 500 and I said approx 125. I recall the 72 as well from all the articles and videos.

Looks like the Kettleman lounge has a display to show SC usage.

Probably being delivered to SoCal reservation holders. Since there were only two, it was
cheaper to drive from Fremont than use a transporter that holds seven.

One was an owner in L.A. (as shown in the video).

Thanks for the feedback guys. The Baker, CA SC seems to be open per the page: https://www.tesla.com/findus/location/supercharger/bakercasupercharger

Nice picture of the Baker CA SC ... a sea of stalls:

This one sat unfinished for a while, but it looks like all major work was finished last month (including the transformer installation) so it might be online this month.

Manchester, CT: This one (on I84 just east/north of Hartford) is a surprise, since it isn't even listed on Tesla's site (they list a 2nd SC in "West Hartford" rather than east like this one. It has 16 stalls and looks nearly complete, so it might also be opening this month.

Meanwhile, Tesla still lists Natick, MA (at the Natick Mall) as "end of 2017" but no work seems to be happening there yet.

Another surprise opening: South Bay Center / South Boston, MA. Ten 72kW stalls. Opened yesterday. Also not listed on Tesla's map. It's halfway between the South End and Seaport SCs that are both listed as "end of 2018".

I had no idea they were installing anything that low power. I thought they were all 120kW or more.
These are the city superchargers they announced in (as a surprise) in September: https://www.tesla.com/blog/supercharging-cities

This is the 2nd of the city SCs in Boston that they've opened.
