Re: 2011 Coda Sedan Electric Car

And to think we were actually considering purchasing one of these a couple of years ago. At the time it was either a Coda or a Volt, as we were not sure of the range issue. Then I started the research and reading about all the other issues with owning an electric vehicle. Eventually it was Nissan's $1,999 down, $199 per month promotion that got us hooked. Then my wife test drove a maxed-out SL and it was over. Now it was not about price, but keeping the wife happy. And as any husband will tell you, the most valuable thing there is in a marriage is a happy wife. :D :D :D

costs how much and has what size pack? I might be tempted to get one just to see if making 2-3 decent extender packs might be viable. not sure what the challenges would be with what I am guessing would be two separate systems (guess it would have been nice if they used the same chemistry as a LEAF) so definitely a project for a VERY serious DIYer

I wouldn't bother.

You could contact http://codacars.com/. I passed by that building over the weekend and the suite is just 1 of a bunch of offices there. Have passed by that building numerous times before. It's attached to http://clubautosport.net/.

Good luck getting any support for repairs. Due to the car's limited sales (less than 100 sold), these forums are kinda dead:

'19 Bolt Premier
'13 Leaf SV w/premium package (owned)
'13 Leaf SV w/QC + LED & premium packages (lease over, car returned)

Please don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.

ya tech support would not be an option. it would be a true DIY project and that is ALL yourself!

Didn't meet reserve though. I can't imagine these selling much higher for a completely unsupported car. Caveat emptor.

Saw a white Coda charging at South Coast Plaza today. Looked kind of beat up. (Poor build quality, not any wreck.)

wonder if this would qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit?
