I would have had someone follow me, run it dead and return to dealership to advise them where to find it. hand them key and walk out.

Sure, and if I then had to lease a Bolt, I'm sure the dealership would have given me a great deal, and great service. Instead, I foolishly suggested that they charge it. Maybe next time....

Depending on the dash config (you can select from 3 different layouts) there's a bar that shows battery charge. For a hard %, you use can use the app on your phone. It works both over bluetooth or free OnStar (takes a while to update this way though) and shows you your battery as a %, estimate time to full charge, and can be configured to warn you if you are getting too far away from a charger and should stop and charge.

With subtle 5% graduations.
