There are definitely similarities between Trump and Musk. Both are on a mission and not terribly concerned about what their detractors think.

Joe Rogan interview backlash provided another nice buying opportunity. Picked up another 40 shares in the morning after the interview.

Crazy quarter with news for TSLA, but most is just distractions. The company is pumping out cars at an incredible rate finally and when it shows that its doing so at a profit, the stock price will take off.

That Jerome Guillen promotion is a good one. It might not be much known here at MNL, but he earned a great deal of respect among the Tesla early adopter community, during the launch of the Model S, by constructively engaging with owners.

Trump is a fascist psychopath, while Musk is a benevolent industrial genius.

But sure, Trump does not care who he harms while engaging in pedophilia or tearing babies away from their mothers and dumping them in detention camps; while Musk does not care if people see him taking a a draft of marijuana. And Musk wants to colonize Mars to ensure the survival of the species while Trump wants to be a dictator. I can see how someone like you would then try to equate these two people.

I'd say he's more of a bombastic, posturing narcissist. OTOH, I'm obviously not the first to notice at least a physical resemblance to a certain earlier individual with most of the same character traits, so you may be right: https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+mussolini+image&rlz=1C1GCEA_enUS772US813&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjT0KLz-q7dAhVR1qwKHbrVDwQQsAR6BAgEEAE&biw=1366&bih=662

They're both big fans of the 'raised, jutting chin with a frown' look. As for Musk, I'd be more impressed with his benevolence if Tesla's work environment, especially in the factory, didn't violate pretty much every tenet of work/life balance there is. It's possible to be driven and not be an asshole. Especially recently, Elon seems to have gone over the edge more than a little - I mean, aside from the toke, what the hell is the whole vendetta (with absolutely no evidence presented, mind) about that British cave diver about, not to mention some of his comments about short sellers have me wondering just when he'll start rolling ball bearings in his hand and raving about strawberries:

Via IEVS:
Tesla’s Response To Hurricane Florence: Free Charging, More Battery

As for Hurricane Irma last year. Also IEVS:
Free Tesla Supercharging Through Referral Ends September 16

They're also reducing paint color options from 7 to 5:
Elon Musk announced that Tesla needs to drop two out of seven possible colors – Obsidian Black and Metallic Silver – from the base offer, to simplify manufacturing.

Both colors still will be available to order, but as a special request and will cost more. We believe that the time of delivery could be then increased a little bit (as in the case of most all special orders) if you choose either of these special colors.

Elon Musk encourages that there will be no problem with spare parts in all colors, even those which were removed from the base pool.

Tesla's Finance Team Is Losing Another Top Executive
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... -executive

Justin McAnear, vice president of worldwide finance and operation, is parting ways with the electric-car maker, said the people, who requested anonymity because the information hadn’t been made public. McAnear confirmed his last day at Tesla will be Oct. 7 in a statement obtained by CNBC.

(same guy) Yet another finance executive is leaving Tesla

Musk apologizes for snags in Model 3 delivery information

McAnear was brought up in the above along with:
Last week David Morton, chief accounting officer, stepped down after only a month on the job at Tesla Inc. The company said in a regulatory filing that Morton was leaving due to the level of public scrutiny and the pace at the company but not over any disagreements with Tesla's leadership or its financial reporting.

That followed a report on Friday that Gabrielle Toledano, head of human resources, would not return to Tesla after a leave of absence. And communications chief Sarah O'Brien confirmed that her last day on the job was Wednesday. She wouldn't give a reason for her departure, which she said has been in the works for two months.

This is an indication of how important others see this market going forward. With backing from the Chinese government they'll be able to dump cars at a loss and put Tesla out of business, then they'll own the market... unless somebody with a set fights back and imposes tariffs to stop the dumping.
