IEVS:
Tesla Semi Prototypes Works 'Amazingly Well,' Production Delayed
https://insideevs.com/news/346746/tesla-semi-prototype-amazingly-production-delayed/

Production was postponed to 2020.
The two Tesla Semi prototypes, unveiled in 2017, were from time to time seen in California or even in many other states doing test runs or simply helping moving stuff (most recently also spotted delivering Tesla Model 3 cars to customers).

Elon Musk said that the electric trucks were "working amazingly well," but that's not enough for the Semi to enter production just. Tesla Automotive President Jerome Guillen said:

"
Yes, very well. We load them to maximum weight and continue to make improvements."

"Next year we will start production. We are very happy with driving the trucks extensively with, I think, so far quite amazing success."

The production was originally planned from late 2019, but now as Tesla again is struggling with losses, the market launch was postponed until 2020.

It's not yet known where the trucks will be produced - maybe at the Gigafactory 1 in Nevada.

Musk and the SEC come to an agreement.

Well, that is one thing that is now behind them.
Personally, I was thrilled Tesla is planning to smooth out distribution of their car deliveries rather than having huge rushes once a quarter.

SEC is just realized Musk lost last bits of credibility. All of his latest attempts to prop up stock failed and back fired spectacularly. Looks like SEC won this battle after all.

Interesting interpretation.
I view it more as the SEC realized they had no contempt case and were lucky the judge didn't simply dismiss the case.
As is, beyond the clarification of what specific topics require pre-approval, there was nothing. No fines, no penalties, no fundamental changes beyond the original agreement last year.

So the goal of the corrupt SEC is to drive down stock price? Did you read the filings and follow this closely or just skim the headlines? FYI if Tesla looses the US and the entire EV movement looses too. Meanwhile companies with no substantive value are doing worse things and getting away with it while the SEC turns a blind eye to short seller activity that goes far beyond normal trading behavior and into criminal exploits.

Yup. Of course, it was a totally unnecessary and stupid distraction in the first place, due solely to Elon's arrogance.

We can expect to see another spike in U.S. sales starting probably in late May and running through June, as people rush to buy before the subsidies drop another $1,875. Assuming they're available in the required numbers, from July on I expect the Kona, Niro and Soul will take a lot of sales from the Model 3, even though they're different classes - the price differential will be getting pretty high.

No, one of the the goals is to prevent company officials to prop up the stock prices with false information. Shorts have no leverage against any company with good credibility, they make the move when they sense the company is pushing fake news or hyped up artificially. Do you see any shorts selling MSFT?

Apple, AMD, Mattel, and Comcast are all in the top 10 stocks shorted... Are you suggesting lack of credibility with these companies?

Pulled the trigger on going EV on 10/2016 with a 2012 Leaf SL, traded it in and now I'm a very happy Tesla Model 3 owner.

Those are shorted for different reasons, none of those co CEOs are jamming the communication lines in effort to prop their co stocks though. All of co stocks easily recover when the underlying issues or concerns are resolved. Shorts do not have any credibility as they do not need any.
