Urban mail and package delivery is the ideal fit for commercial BEVs (within their range limitations) at the moment. Slow speeds, short distances, lots of time spent stopped and frequent regen, single-speed transmissions for simplicity and low maintenance, fleet use so providing multiple charge points is cost-effective.

67 HP and 200 N-m (147.5 ft-lb) of torque means the Royal postmen (and women) won't be hooning that company car anytime soon. But I am glad they're doing it; in urban centers and small villages it's perfect for the job.

It's not the first electric postal vehicle though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_Berlingo_%C3%A9lectrique
