At first glance I thought I heard that these were just trucks, but now I see they have a wagon as well. Battery range if true looks impressive (200 miles on a charge). Bodies made by Renault/Dacia Group and electrics made in the USA (kind of like a kit car but see they avoided saying that -- like the Lotus Caterham 7). These look 'normal' or like your run of the mill european-spec cars. As I didn't see them mentioned anywhere (unless buried in another thread) thought I would add a new one to track their progress. The news article doesn't mention crash testing and/or any driving tests but their web site states 'highway' speeds so assume these aren't NEV's. The only omnious sign was that they're using EMC (Electric Motor Car) as their brand name (anyone remember what happened to DMC - DeLorean Motor Car ?). In any case, I wish them luck. They appear to have dealer's set up in IL but have priced their cars on the higher end (before EV rebates) so the true test is to see how viable a venture this will be with no brand recognition -- also note the battery warranty is 100K (doesn't appear to have a time limit) but other components are only 3 years. If anyone has seen these tested please let us all know ...

Good luck with that conversion business and Zebra packs, another short lived EV business model likely based on credits.
