Study reorders significance of fungal and bacterial decomposition of organic matter; impact on climate models

This falls in the 'what we thought we knew is wrong" category. Unfortunately, it's been wrong in the wrong direction from what we want; The new info, if correct (23-year study), means that climate models that include decomposition have likely been too optimistic, and CO2 leakage is likely greater than previously thought.
