they have these covered parking spaces with solar at a community college lot in LA. but no chargers yet.

Sadly, many of 'em here in California are used to refine hydrogen à la California fuel cel partnership ... ultimately generating enough juice to propel a much less expensive EV down the road 4x as far as the hydrogen vehicle could go on the same energy used to create hydrogen to get the hydrogen vehicle down the road..

Yes . . . in the Nashville area . . . population of the surrounding area, approximately 1.5 million.
Los Angeles area population? About 13 million - if you don't count O.C. and ventura counties.
oh yea ... nashville is where it ought to be built.

Well, our daughter moved back there about 5 years ago. Just one more reason to get out of dodge some day, I suppose. IMO, one of the strangest thing about being an early adapter is watching all the wacky decisions getting made.
