Some interesting videos of the LEAF in GT5. Right hand drive though.

Cool stuff. Glad to see the LEAF included in the GT5 stable.

I wonder if the ultra-light steering is realistically captured for force-feedback steering wheel controllers.

They get an A for effort from me for using the actual LEAF VSP sound on the exterior views, but you'd never hear that in real life because the VSP sound turns off above 20 mph. They should have just used tire and wind noise.

That's pretty cool. They even got the power meter to reflect throttle correctly.
I haven't played GT5 in months. Is this part of the latest update to it? I'll fire up the PS3 this weekend to check it out.

Looked like it peaked out at 140kph (~87mph). But in the real world, I doubt that it could hold it's own against MX-5's and/or Mini Coopers ( even the non-S version).

I haven't played it - I was just watching the first posted video and I watched as the driver came into a turn and hit he brakes. It went to full regen :)

Tried it last night for a few, it's part of a $3.99 car package (downloadable content). I normally object to that kind of thing, but I went ahead and got this one... In spite of my natural distaste for the dlc stuff, I can actually kinda see where this one comes from. They clearly spent a great deal of time modeling this thing. The interior, dash, rear seats, etc. are all pretty darned near perfect. the sound... Well, it's accurate, just much louder than the real car is. Still, being the 'right' sound still somewhat helps to recreate the feel.

I haven't played enough to say whether it conveys the feel correctly yet.

Can you "paint" the LEAF different colors? Would LOVE to see some other colors on that baby! Like yellow for example!

How about Atomic Orange?

The mods available are fully adjustable suspension, slicks, full aero kit (with carbon hatch spoiler), wheels and alot of weight reduction. There are NO mods for the motor. We bought and set up 3 LEAFs to compare on the day of the Car Pack release. The full mod has very nice handling, no body roll and excellent grip. Just take really wide fast lines and its easy to beat all the other cars in the same performance point category. You can really tell the improvements in everything with less weight.

.

Funny you should mention that. Zack did two laps around The Ring yesterday and did make repeated comments that his controller was vibrating alot more than usual across the rougher pavement turns. Was harder to stay on line. Seems GT5 is in fact providing the unsettling feathery torque steer issue of the LEAF. Still he finished two laps 11:37 and 11:34 before going to Turtle. Average speed was 81.34mph and he killed the battery in a bit over 34 miles.

I have also added three requests into the official PS3 GT5 Car Wishlist.

-EsFlow
-Nismo LEAF
-Nismo LEAF RC

If they wanted to have fun and build up a Nismo EsFlow or radical Nismo EsFow RC I would not complain either ;) .
