Seconded! +1

Obviously I have the learning curve of an amoeba as I keep doing it almost every time! :)

I do the same every time too haha

Hard to miss the Orange Bold alarm bell.

I don't recall where it was on old interface.

Mine is Red not Orange ... hmm

Yeah, that's annoying. I ended up blocking the toolbar personally because I never use it, anyway.

Yeah, that is nice, but unfortunately you can't tell which notifications are active.
You had to go view your subscribed threads to see which threads you had subscriptions to had new posts before, way more cumbersome.

Might be red.
But seems a bit different than the red on the icons that indicate thread status of unread posts, active, etc.
Is the same color as the fuel pump symbol in the late loading status bar.
Bit more like Clemson, Auburn, Florida orange.
Definitely not TN orange

Agree that is a shortcoming.
But they are sorted in order and it gives number of how many are active.
I just count down the list and start there and they do open nicely to the active unread post.

I'm actually finding the website to be pretty usable on a desktop or laptop now.
I've yet to try it on a phone.
All of my big complaints have been solved (poor performance, hover-activated menus).

While I'd like to see additional improvements, I think the server's now at a good baseline.

I really wish it would use the full width of a web page when opened on a large monitor.

If you hover the mouse pointer over each notification the unread ones will have a checkmark, this also works on mobile devices but more cumbersome to do. Less than ideal but better than nothing.

How do you hover on a mobile device?

Tap and hold on a list entry, the browser will bring up a popup but will keep the notifications list open so you can see if the item is "checked", dismiss the popup/tap on the entry or move to the next one. I use Chrome.

Re: New Forum Layout - where things have moved and all your complaints in one spot

I inadvertently touched "mark replies read" when the menu rendering caused the screen to jump. Is there any way to undo this so I can see at a glance what posts I have not yet read?

I am getting used to the new format, but I still keep touching click points inadvertently when the screen jumps.

Thanks,
Gerry

There is no way to undo that, I'm afraid.
