Re: New Forum Layout - where things have moved and all your complaints in one spot

Now that the user info is on the left and I have turned off the Avatars and Signatures to help with the vertical spacing, this is starting to grow on me.

However, I'm still running it at 150% in Chrome -- the standard text is a little small for me.

The one issue I've is - the last post's time and poster's name is not visible on the phone.

Not sure if this is for everyone ...

Plus one. My young eyes strain the read the text. It has a very thin line weight, much to thin.

Yes, this is definitely an issue for my on iPhone 6 w/iOS 8.4 using Safari.

It's quite confusing to not have the above info on my phone when going thru search.php?search_id=active_topics.

'13 Leaf SV w/premium package (owned)
'13 Leaf SV w/QC + LED & premium packages (lease over, car returned)
'06 Prius

Please don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.

I certainly can't speak for drees but I would prefer a bit more distinction between quotes and responses. An outline of some sort or a bit darker shading. Not that big of a deal though. [I'm using a PC with 19 inch display, so very different from the mobile folks.]

Yep, exactly. It's simply too hard to distinguish between quotes and posts.

Yay!

Here are a couple screenshots of how bad things look on a mobile device that need to get fixed - see all the dead space on the right due to the width of the ads?

Speed has been consistently great since the server move. Yay! :P

I concur with others who complain about too much whitespace on the left & right margins, as well as too much whitespace vertically.

I'm on a 2560x1440 monitor. The website makes use of less than half of that width in a full-screen browser. However, I'm only able to see one or two posts at a time, because of all the vertical spacing. It becomes a bit frustrating to read a thread - it requires a lot of scrolling.

In settings, the ability to select your timezone, all of the entries look like:

<option value="UTC-11:00 - Pacific/Midway - 27 Jul 2015, 21:58">UTC-11:00 - 27 Jul 2015, 21:58</option>

So all of the values shown look like:
UTC-11:00 - 27 Jul 2015, 21:58

How about some easily-recognizable values like "Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific"?

That is the point I keep making.

I personally think all Mobile outputs should do this when the Mobile user goes into settings and selects "Requeat desktop site".

But unfortunately many do not.
But at least give the Mobile user a link that will give them the Desktop Site.

Google should refuse to index sites that fail to do that.

Depending on which computer I'm reading it on, the quote separations may or may not have enough contrast. It's fine on a chromebook, poor on at least one desktop I use. I really don't care for the 'everything gray' look - although it's a lot more readable than it was initially, it's still pretty blah looking. This is probably an artifact of all the wasted white space.

Oh, on the poster info box, it's still much too wide - shrink its width by at least 20-25%. You know, back to the way it used to be ;)
